“You f***ing loser,” Matthew Tkachuk BRANDS Tomas Nosek as ‘loser’ following hit on Eric Staal during Game 2 at TD Garden
It seems like the Florida Panthers didn’t only win Game 2 against Boston Bruins but also thrashed the NHL favorites with a verbal bout at TD Garden arena. The one to take the trophy was Panthers alternate captain Matthew Tkachuk who didn’t hold back to call Bruins forward Tomas Nosek a “loser”.
The bout started after Nosek hit Panthers Eric Staal with just two minutes left in the game. The trash talks were perfectly captured at the hot mic moment broadcasted by ESPN. Several chirps could be heard, one of them being, “Nice clean hit, you f***ing loser”.
Tensions are running high as Bruins lost to Panthers in a devastating fashion although they were NHL favorites to win the Cup. they’ll surely get their time to take revenge on their opponents during Game 3 scheduled on Friday. The Panthers won the game 6-3, now having an on-ice advantage in Games 3 and 4.

During the postgame press conference, Matthew Tkachuk stated, “We’ve put ourselves in a position where we have home ice right now, and it’s about hanging on to it as long as possible”. The Bruins looked invincible during the 2022-23 season, but the Panthers are confident they can hunt down their prey in this playoff.
The Panthers vs Bruins season is tied 1-1 and will move on to their next round in South Florida. Bruins coach Jim Montgomery said, “The turnovers we had tonight were terrible”. Bruins defenceman Hampus Lindholm said, “They were a little more hungry than we were. I think we should just clean up that mess”.
Coach Montgomery further noted that Bruins failed to overcome their weakness even though they had good puck control in the game, “Five men are working together to make the break. It’s not just the defenseman.” “We believe that every zone should have a five-man unit…Our game got away from us in the third quarter.”
Even without Patrice Bergeron on the ice, Brad Marchand carried on the game as he stated, “We tied it up there, and we were feeling better about our game”. “I think we’re good when we keep doing what we’re supposed to do, and we just got a little off track.”
Game 2 Bruins versus Panthers, postgame with Matthew Tkachuk. It’s officially a series – and a chippy one.
“We’re not just going to roll over to the team that had the best record in NHL history. It would be easy to, it really would.”

According to NESN, Tkachuk stated that he always believed in his team, “We knew it was going to be such a tough task but to sit there and just give away this series at the beginning of it. That’s not how we roll. That’s not how our mindset had been all year.”
“…So we’re confident playing as anybody, and now we know before the third we’re talking about you got to win in here eventually if you want to win the series. So to come up with that effort that there was really important for our team.”
