“Y’all just made that up”: Emily Blunt Got Called a Liar To Her Face By Chili’s Waitress After Telling Her About a Bruce Willis Film
Emily Blunt has never been one to shy away from being candid about her filming experiences. Whether they are bizarre, peculiar, or just seemingly funny, she would always go about telling just how unique each and every set she works in is. Her range of roles is exquisite in a way many hope to achieve and her accolades are an endless line of trophies.
There are often moments when fans think actors are lookalikes of themselves, having a familiar face but not the same one. There are also times when even the most famous actors do not get recognized. However, it is still somewhat rare for fans to be blunt enough to say to an actor’s face that they are lying. One such incident took place with Blunt as well.
Emily Blunt’s Encounter with a Chili’s Waitress
In an interview during the Jonathan Ross Show (via ReplayTVHD) Emily Blunt revealed that she got recognized as a lookalike of herself while shooting a film with Bruce Willis. They were shooting in a small town when they found themselves at a local Chili’s outlet for a meal. There the waitress who was serving them seemed to find Blunt’s face rather familiar.
“We were filming in this really remote town called Tibidoe. So we went out for dinner at Chili’s. I think it was the only restaurant available. And she comes up and she goes, ‘Did anyone ever tell you, you look a lot like Emily Blunt?’ And I said, ‘I have heard that yes.’ And she went, ‘Are you Emily Blunt?'”
The waitress asked her if she was used to hearing comments about how similar she looked to Blunt. When the actress agreed, the waitress further asked if she actually was the A Quiet Place star. Upon her confirmation, she was far from excited about having to meet her.
The Chili’s Waitress Did Not Believe Emily Blunt
While talking on the Jonathan Ross Show, Emily Blunt further elaborated on how the waitress at Chili’s began asking as to why the actress was even present in their town. Once she learned that Blunt was actually shooting the film, she could not believe it either.
“And she went, ‘What are y’all doing here?’ And then she was like, ‘Are y’all shooting a movie here?’ And I said, ‘Yeah I’m shooting a film called Looper.’ And she went, ‘Looper?’ And I went, ‘Yeah.’ Then she went, ‘Y’all just made that up.'”
When Blunt revealed the name of the film, the waitress was so dumbstruck that she could not believe that a film could even be called Looper.
