Woman, 22, killed by subway train at NYC's Grand Central was an investment bank intern
A woman who was killed after falling onto the subway tracks at New York City's Grand Central Station on Tuesday night has been named as 22-year-old Helen Chen.
Chen, from Burbank, California was killed after a conductor was unable to stop in time as a southbound 7 train pulled into the station, striking her shortly before 11pm.
Chen had been working as an intern at investment bank, Lazard at their New York office at Rockefeller Center.

She reportedly fell onto the 7 train tracks and the train operator was unable to brake in time. Firefighters and EMTs tried to rescue the woman
'Lazard is devastated about the tragic death of our colleague. The loss of someone so early in life is unimaginable. Our thoughts are with her family, friends and her Lazard colleagues,' the company said.
The train operator reportedly tried to stop the train before hitting the woman, but was unable to break in time, cops told the New York Post.
Firefighters and EMTs tried to help the woman out from under the train, but she was pronounced dead about an hour later.
Several firefighters were pictured lying on the platform, reaching between the subway car and the yellow safety strip of the platform with medical equipment scattered on the ground.

They were unable to get the woman out before she died and she was pronounced dead around an hour after the incident
First responders tried to resuscitate the woman but they were not successful in their attempts.
Shortly after police arrived to the scene, the power was cut off from the tracks.

SharePolice said they weren’t immediately sure what caused her to fall but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances.
The 7 train was delayed in both directions due to the tragic incident and was temporarily suspended between 34 St-Hudson Yards and Hunters Point Avenue.
There were no delays on the 7 train route as of Wednesday morning.
