Wi and Michigan Modelers...where to shop? - Model Railroader Magazine

Thanks all!!!! I just got back and I scored BIGGGGGG!!!

First, I loved Wather's Terminal shop...got 2 kits (AMB's Laserkit interlocking tower and JV Model's Icehouse... both on sale!!!)

BUT, the HUGE score came from Hobby Junction...

I got there and this store is just what I love... small little store full of dusty old (dare I say decrepit!) shelves with lots of old kits on them... I found 2 sheepscot kits at (laugh at this) the amazing prices!!!  The drooling, I chose the stating kit (#1020) and got it for, get this, the original price 33.95!!!!  OMG!!!  I wanted to buy the coaling tower, but seeing that I just kitbashed a nice one, I didn't have a reason to spend the extra money (also at the ORIGINAL price!)   Anyway, I am quite happy, since I often see kits like this go for 100-150 on ebay and they are HARD to find!   I won't be building for a while, but WOOHOOO!!! THanks again for the ideas, guys... it was a fortuitous find, since I only found the hobby shop while stopping for a cup of coffee for the wife!
