Why I resigned from my salary job to act comedy – Skitmaker Kiekie reveals

Popular Nigerian skit-maker and brand influencer, Bukunmi Adeaga-Ilori, aka Kiekie, has revealed why she stopped working as a TV presenter to pursue a career in skit-making.

The content creator revealed this in a recent interview with media personality, Chude Jideonwo.

According to her, she resigned because of her boss’ irrational response to her request for a salary increase.

She claimed that rather than raising her salary as asked, her boss advised her to use her beauty to increase her income.

In her words, “I once had a boss that I complained to that “this salary you used to pay me is not sufficient. Can you pay me more?”

“And this man told me that, ‘Why are you stressing yourself? You are fine na, you are on TV, big, big men will see you, and they will give you money. That was how I sacked myself from that day.”

She added that her employer did not value her effort and that prompted her decision to quit.
