After rumours that have been circulating since May, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has been confirmed as The Foundation in Fortnite.

As part of the Chapter 3 Live Event, The Foundation removed their helmet, revealing the former WWE Superstar and movie superstar as the iconic Fortnite character, eyebrow raise and all.

As it continues to grow in popularity, the scope and reach of Fortnite have also continued growing. It almost serves as a cultural relevance test: if you or your character isn’t in Fortnite, do they really matter?

As characters like Kratos, Master Chief, and Lara Croft get added, it doesn’t seem so out of reach that big-name celebrities would want to get a piece of the action as well.

With the new character the Foundation being introduced to the game, it feels like it would only make sense for them to be voiced by someone big. So who voices the Foundation in Fortnite?

Who Voices the Foundation in Fortnite?

Before we do a deep dive into who we think the voice actor is, remember to take all this with a grain of salt. At this point, we’re just speculating who we think it might be based on the evidence provided. Once things are confirmed we’ll let you know.

Our best guess as to who voices the Foundation in Fortnite is WWE Legend Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson. First reported by the Gamer, the evidence is pretty convincing.

Evidence for the Rock

As pointed out by Twitter user and Fortnite creative @bnwkr, the Rock posted a video on Instagram where he says how March 16 is a “really big day.” He adds at the end of the video, “this is all done to strengthen and evolve and grow the power and the force known as, um, the foundation.” The post also simply captioned “the foundation.”

The Rock posted an IG video about how March 16th was a "really big day" and then mentions "The Foundation" at the end of the video with his eyebrows raised.

It's very possible he was the voice actor for the Foundation, but I asked Epic Games and they refused to comment.

Twitter user @CodeBendie also adds to the pile of evidence in the comments. His Tweet shows the similarities between the Rock’s pectoral tattoo and the design of the Foundation. Both have a circular pattern near their hearts.

Also in the comments, @VenomtheGreat points out that the Rock had mentioned back in 2020 that he would be interested in collaborating with Epic Games in Fortnite.

At the end of the day, it’s hard to tell when listening to the voice of the Foundation in the trailer who the actor might be due to the distortion of their helmet. That said, it was recently revealed that veteran Avengers directors Joe and Anthony Russo directed the Chapter 2 Season 6 trailer, so it makes sense that more big names might be attached to the season. Some people on the Fortnite Reddit seem to think that it could also be Kiefer Sutherland, so at this point, it’s anyone’s guess.

Remember that all this is speculation so nothing is set in stone–or perhaps set in rock.
