He was born in 1966 in Low Country, South Carolina. His mother’s name was Elizabeth “Libby” Alexander, who was a homemaker, and his father’s name was Randolph Murdaugh III, who was a renowned lawyer. He also has three younger siblings named Lynn Murdaugh-Goettee, Richard Alexander, and John Marvin Murdaugh.
