Who is Lara Spencer’s daughter? ‘GMA’ host celebrates one last weekend before sending her to college
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: ‘Good Morning America’ star Lara Spencer has been lighting up her social media with pictures of her recent luxurious vacation with friends and family.
While the main purpose of the vacation was to bid farewell to her daughter, who is soon off to college, the 54-year-old recently took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post about her daughter’s next phase of life.
The ‘GMA’ host is a mother to two children from her first marriage to former CNN anchor and current real estate broker, David Haffenreffer, and will now be seeing off her daughter to college at Vanderbilt University in Tennessee.
Who is Lara Spencer’s daughter?
The ‘GMA’ host has an 18-year-old daughter named Katherine Paige Haffenreffer which she shares with her ex-husband, David. Katherine has a brother named Duff Haffenreffer and attended the Greenwich Academy for her high school education.
Katherine will soon be going to college at Vanderbilt University and has become an integral part of the university’s lacrosse team.
The 18-year-old is regarded as an effective midfield defender and is often complimented for her strong work ethic.
Knowing that Katherine is off to college soon, Lara decided to spend one last weekend with her at her Greenwich, Connecticut home.
She posted a snap of her and Katherine where the mom-daughter duo looked almost identical.
They posed in their living room where Katherine is seen wearing a white dress while her mom is in a plaid shirt and white jeans, and their twin genes are almost indisputable.
Lara captioned the post, “Hard to believe this was our last weekend before we take this one to college, #my baby.”
Lara ensured that her daughter had a proper send-off before college, and earlier this summer, the two took a trip to Florence, Italy with some of Katherine's friends.

Lara Spencer’s fans and colleagues were quick to address her snap with her daughter and couldn’t help but compliment the two ladies.
One fan wrote, “Your twin…it’s so hard, all I will tell you is “she will come home.” While another said, “A wonderful picture of the two of you. You both are gorgeous women.”
Colleague Ginger Zee wrote, "Awwww I can’t imagine the feeling. Sending love.” while Sam Champion posted “heart emojis.”

However, Lara’s daughter will have the company of colleague George Stephanopoulos’ daughter Harper who will also be attending Vanderbilt University. Just like Katherine, Harper will also be starting her freshman year at Vanderbilt this fall.
