What is Xochitl Gomez's Age? Meet Marvel's America Chavez

Once spring rolls around, it’ll be nearly time to Scooby-Doo this crap again in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, and we can’t wait to see what surprises spring forth.

One character being introduced in the sorcerer’s sequel is America Chavez and we explore the actor, Xochitl Gomez, who will be portraying the young superhero in addition to revealing her age.

Surfing another cosmic wave on the back of Spider-Man: No Way Home will be Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange returning with Rachel McAdams’ Christine Palmer, Benedict Wong’s Wong (interesting to see those names side-by-side), Chiwetel Ejiofor’s Mordo, and Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff, a.k.a. Scarlet Witch.

How old is Gomez?

A number of reports state that Xochitl Gomez was born in 2006, making her current age 15 years old.

This makes Gomez one of the youngest Marvel actors portraying a superhero in Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Kid Loki, Ms. Marvel, and Tommy and Billy (Wiccan and Speed) are amongst some of the other young heroes in Phase 4.

MCU Introduces America Chavez

In Marvel lore, America comes from another dimension – the Utopian Parallel – and eventually became a Young Avenger and a member of the Ultimates.

In addition to carrying the same American star as Captain America in her design, America also carries super strength, in addition to being able to fly and punch star-shaped holes in the Multiverse.

Gomez’s debut as America Chavez can be seen in the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer – first shown as the second post-credits scene in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

During one sequence, we see Doctor Strange and Christine Palmer standing alongside America in front of a Multiverse doorway.
