What does your club do for no shows on Competition Days?
WEEKENDS & OTHER CLUB COMPETITIONS where specific tee times are allocated.
Booking in: (clubhouse) – A player must report to the sign in table and collect their card and pay any entry fee due not later than 20 minutes prior to their listed tee time.* Note: all members must pay a green fee playing at weekends. This applies to both general play and competitions.* If in doubt ask at the pro shop.
Failure to comply – A player will incur a two shot penalty that must add to there first hole.* Failure to apply this penalty will mean the players’ card will be disqualified from the competition.
Late to the TEE: – A player must report to the tee at least 5 minutes ahead of their allotted tee time (this tee time is entered on their card when signing in).
Failure to comply – A two shot penalty will be given by the starter (if in operation) the player must add these to their first hole.* Failure to apply this penalty will mean the players will be disqualified from the competition.
No show for allotted tee time: – A player must notify the Competition Secretary, not less than 24 hours prior to the competition if they cannot play/attend.*
Failure to comply – failure to notify the Competition Secretary minimum 24 hours in advance or not to show up at all, will incur a TWO MATCH/COMPETITION BAN.
Not entering score on computer and/or handing in your card.
Not signing your card or signing an incorrect card
Failure to comply with both items above will incur –Disqualification and a one match ban.
Any player being given a match ban will have their name placed on an information sheet posted on the men’s competition notice board.* This will indicate who has received a ban and the events they are banned from.* Persistent offenders will be reported to the main committee and suitable punishment agreed notified and applied.
