Temperatures will be 20 degrees warmer Thursday through Saturday. Rain and snow chances are in the weekend forecast.

INDIANAPOLIS — A warm stretch of weather is on the way for the end of the week and the weekend. 

Forecast highs are in the lower 50s on Thursday, the upper 50s on Friday and near 60 on Saturday.

We are in for a short sunny stretch too, with mostly sunny skies on Thursday and Friday.

A storm system is scheduled to arrive later Friday night and impact our weather pattern through the end of the weekend.

Off and on rain showers are in the forecast for Saturday. Some of the steadiest rain is expected along a cold front Saturday evening. The rain showers will change to some flurries and snow showers on Sunday. It will be a windy and much colder day with highs only in the upper 30s.  

A quiet weather pattern is expected early next week, with some sun and highs in the lower and middle 40s Monday through Wednesday.
