Marion County - The Vanderburgh County assessor is under arrest, accused of exposing himself in downtown Indianapolis.

Undercover detectives arrested 51-year-old John Gerard of Evansville. They say Gerard exposed himself to an officer at the Claypool Court bathroom near Circle Centre on West Washington Street.

Police arrested him after they say Gerard invited the undercover officer back to his hotel room. Prosecutors will charge Gerard with public indecency and indecent exposure.
