Nevertheless, shows like The Last of Us and The White Lotus winning multiple awards were anticipated but one of the four wins of The Bear failed to coincide with the fans’ understanding.

The 2022 FX-produced drama stars Jeremy Allen White as the compelling chef Carmen Berzatto who takes over his family restaurant, the Original Beef of Chicagoland after his brother’s death. The show presents the struggling realities of running a business in the restaurant industry. While fans highly relate to the plot and are deeply involved with the happenings, they don’t feel it fits in rightly as a comedy.
Hence, among the four Emmy Award wins the show bagged this season, The Bear also won an award for ‘Best Casting for a Comedy.’ Fans were bewildered upon hearing the news and took to social media to chip in their insights. Questions were raised on the comical elements of the series.
The Bear seeks to merge the heightened drama with comedy, as the events unfold in the grieving family. I didn't even know The Bear was a comedy, I just watched the first episode, I think about 20 minutes from the first episode, I thought it was some drama and boring, and I stopped watching it to watch other movies and series, but I think about watching it again some day.
