“That ref was scared to death!!!” Stephen Curry unleashes rare RAGE at referee over no-call during Warriors vs Kings matchup, fans react

In the Golden State Warriors‘ victory over the Sacramento Kings on Monday night, Stephen Curry became frustrated due to a legitimate reason. Curry became outraged after no foul was called on a play involving him and he stood up and shouted at the referee, earning a technical foul.

The Warriors winning a game often demands this kind of effort from Stephen Curry which is definitely not ideal. The Warriors, however, won’t be demanding right now. While the younger men figure things out, they need to get moving and at least stay in business. It appeared as though the Warriors would soon lose their sixth straight game when they faced the Kings on Monday. Then, Curry made the decision that enough was enough and went on a fourth-quarter rampage to help the Dubs come back from a double-digit deficit and win.

Stephen Curry drove past Malik Monk, hesitated, and scored a difficult jump shot in the middle of the third quarter of the game at Chase Center. Curry was knocked to the ground by Monk as he pounced on the former MVP and Chef made sure he uses that contact. Steph, however, just wasn’t having it and began to scream at one of the match officials, Matt Kallio, after rising up from the floor, displaying his extreme wrath that was unseen in all these years. The referee was astounded when Curry went at him and decided to give him a technical foul.

Sacramento, now 3-6, had a chance to tie before Kevin Huerter’s failed 3-point attempt on the game’s final possession credited to De’Aaron Fox’s 28 points and six assists. Off the bench, Malik Monk contributed 24 points, six rebounds, and four assists while Domantas Sabonis chipped in with 19 points, 14 rebounds, and six assists. With the victory, the Warriors improved to 4-7, good for 12th place in the West and on Friday, they will be visited by the explosive Cleveland Cavaliers.

Right in front of Sacramento’s bench, where the incident involving Curry’s technical occurred, a number of Kings players stood up and demanded that Curry be ejected for the way he had confronted the referee. Curry and the Warriors were starting to lose their cool heading into Monday’s game as they were trapped in a five-game losing streak. Nevertheless, Curry used his frustration productively and delivered a tremendous effort in Golden State’s victory.

This is how the fans around Twitter reacted to the same:

Stephen Curry gets hit on almost every play and barely gets any calls. The refs are just bad. No excuse regardless. Kings made dumb mistakes and waited too long to foul at the end. GG @SacramentoKings Respect for you guys but the Warriors have gotten bad calls/lack of calls too.

A furious Stephen Curry got fouled with no fall, and let the official absolutely have it, earning him a technical.
