Sunlight in an internal en-suite - Solartubes?

We have solar tubes in the en-suite and main bathroom. Looks like a domed magnifying lens at the top of the tube. The light level is stunningly good. We often accidentally switch the light on as we leave the bathroom, thinking it’s already on. The tube itself looks a lot like stainless steel - super shiny.
