Doctors, nurses and staff treated these beds which had a chart with everything that needed to be done for a patient.

The goal is to prepare the staff for a rapid influx of victims.

“To ensure the best care for all patients in a mass casualty event, it’s our responsibility to prepare for a rapid and unexpected influx of patients at any time,” said St. Vincent Indianapolis Trauma Medical Director Dr. Lewis Jacobson. “As a Level I Trauma Center, we’re constantly training and practicing to handle worst case scenarios to ensure that we are always ready and able to provide the best possible care for our patients.”

St. Vincent is a level 1 trauma center which handles thousands of patients ever year.
