Ridiculous snobbery | Golf Monthly

If the pocket was on the side of the leg then they're cargo shorts - not smart enough for golf at some clubs. Might sound snobbish but the club have set a standard that they want to enforce, no problem with that so well done Richmond.
Surely it's up to the individual to read the clubs clothing policy before they turn up? They're normally on the club websites. Going on radio and moaning won't likely get him a game in future.
Even if we don't like it the rules are set and need to be adhered to until the club says otherwise.
