Return to the Jersey Shore: Snooki Talks About Her Brand-New Home Show
Glamour: Who has the most amazing house you've ever been in and what was so great about it?
NP: Probably Melissa Gorga because her house is so beautiful and it looks like a palace. It honestly looks like kids don't live there even though she has kids! It's so neat and doesn't have toys everywhere, but at my house I have toys all over the place. It's so elegant and grand and I don't know how she does it.
Glamour: What have your kids trashed in the new house?
NP: My couch! I went into designing my house thinking I could have some more expensive items because I didn't realize my kids were going to be animals. So the one thing I splurged on was a $10,000 couch that was made from scratch, and now it's ruined. It has poop, pee, throw-up, everything. There's spots everywhere! Once the kids grow up I'll fix it, but I learned that buying expensive furniture with toddlers around is pointless.
Glamour: Is there anything you want to tell your fans before the premiere?
NP: Just to tune in! I'm really excited for my fans to see who I really am as a person and watch us try something new that we're virgins at (the one thing that we're virgins at). Flipping a house has been a dream of ours, and we literally demolished the whole place and went crazy. You see the house looking one way and when we're done it looks like a totally different house. And we did it in six weeks.
Glamour: Six weeks?! So were you working full days every day?
NP: I'd say each day we conquered a different room, or tried to at least. We touched every single wall in that house, whether we knocked it down or moved wires or made rooms bigger or smaller, or added bathrooms. It's a totally different house and with demolition and putting new walls up and new tiles down that normally takes a good year.
Glamour: Wow! How big of a team did you work with?
NP: The good thing is, Jionni knows a lot of people in construction, so our contractor and Realtor were both his friends from school. We made it a very in-house project with friends and family so that was the cool thing. There were no strangers involved so it was a real team effort.
Glamour: And is the house for sale now?
NP: It is! You can buy it! We actually may have someone who is interested already, even though winter is usually the worst time to sell in that area. But we're really excited people are looking now.
Tune in to FYI to watch the first episode of Nicole and Jionni's Shore Flip tonight, Wednesday, February 24, at 9 P.M./8 8 P.M. CT.
