Regigigas Weakness Pokemon GO - Raid Guide and Best Counters June 2021
As part of the Season of Discovery, Niantic bought the Regi trio back to raids, before teasing a “surprise Legendary Pokemon”.
Now, as part of the 2021 Solstice event, its been confirmed, probably quite obviously, that Regigigas will be returning to Pokemon GO raids.
The Pokemon was first released as part of the Colossal Discovery research before becoming one of the EX Raid Pokemon (remember those?).
So, now it’s returned, here is every Regigigas weakness in Pokemon GO, plus all of the best counters you can bring to take it down.
Regigigas Weakness Pokemon GO
Regigigas is, rather disappointingly, a Normal-type Legendary Pokemon, which means, as with all Normal-types, it has a single, solitary weakness.
That weakness is Fighting-type moves.

Best Counters for Regigigas Weaknesses
With Regigigas’ weakness to Fighting-type moves, the following Pokemon are the best choices.
Lucario comes in at first place, followed by Conkeldurr, Machamp and Breloom.
Hariyama, Toxicroak, Blaziken and Sirfetch’d are also great options.
If you want to consider bringing a Mega Pokemon, either Mega Gengar or Mega Lopunny are your top picks.
Here are the best movesets for each of those Pokemon:
- Mega Lopunny – Low Kick/Focus Blast
- Mega Gengar – Sucker Punch/Focus Blast
- Lucario – Counter/Aura Sphere
- Conkeldurr – Counter/Dynamic Punch
- Machamp – Counter/Dynamic Punch
- Breloom – Counter/Dynamic Punch
- Hariyama – Counter/Dynamic Punch
- Toxicroak – Counter/Dynamic Punch
- Blaziken – – Counter/Focus Blast
- Sirfetch’d – Counter/Close Combat
It’s recommended that with Regigigas bulk, players will need to squad up in groups of at least four or five to take it down.
It’s worth noting, that aside from its Shiny form, there’s not much reason to be raiding Regigigas as it performs badly in both PVP and PVE battles.
