Putter measurement? | Golf Monthly

I bought a 33" putter recently but sitting it beside my other 33" putters it's an inch longer.
Checked with manufacturer and they say it's a 33"......

so my question is, is the measurement from the grip tip to the shaft bottom i.e where it meets the head, and is that a standard way of measuring?
