Patch Notes For Valorant Episode 3 Act 2 Update 3.05 Revealed
Valorant players in some regions finally got the much-awaited Episode 3 Act 2 update. The new update features a brand new Fracture map and several other significant changes. Well, here are all the patch notes for update 3.05 we could gather.
Initially, Riot Games wanted to release the next major update back in August; however, it got pushed back for some reason. But finally, we are close to experiencing all-new content in the game, and here are all the changes in today’s (September 8) update of VALORANT.

VALORANT Patch 3.05 Full Notes
Firstly, the upcoming update will nerf Killjoy’s turret, reducing its bullet tagging by 84.31%. Besides that, Raze will also get nerfed in the new update, reducing her Boom Bot’s maximum damage from 125 to 80 and minimum damage from 50 to 30. However, there’s one good news; the cost for Boom bot will also go down from 400 to 300 credits.

BREACH
Patch 3.05 will also affect Breach players, as the agent’s Aftershock ability will now deal damage as follows:
- Killjoy Alarm Bot
- Killjoy Nanoswarm
- Killjoy Lockdown
- Cypher Tripwire
- Reyna Leer
- Sage Barrier Orb
- Sova Recon Bolt
- KAY/O Zero/Point
Besides Breach, Brimstone and Sova will also go through some changes:
BRIMSTONE
Orbital Strike (X)
Now deals damage to the following:
- Killjoy Nanoswarm
- Cypher Trapwire
- Sage Barrier Orb
- KAY/O Zero/Point
SOVA
Hunter’s Fury (X)
Now deals damage to the following:
- Killjoy Nanoswarm
- Cypher Trapwire
- Sage Barrier Orb
- Sova Recon Bolt
- KAY/O Zero/Point
Competitive Updates
- Immortal 1/2/3 rank tiers will be back with update 3.05. The Leaderboard will update to distinguish between tiers.
- Updated Ranked grouping restrictions:
- Diamond 1 → Immortal 1
- Diamond 2 → Immortal 2
- Diamond 3 → Immortal 3
- Fracture only queue will be available for two weeks before entering other modes.
SOCIAL UPDATES
- Updated AFK detection for game modes like Deathmatch and Snowball Fight.
Apart from what we’ve mentioned, the new update will also feature some performance tweaks and premium battle pass XP changes.
Progression Updates
- Players will get a 3% XP boost toward Battlepass tier progression when they upgrade to the premium battlepass until the end of Act II.
- Upgrading early will give you access to the most amount of XP. It’s important to note that XP Bosst will not be applicable towards Daily or Weekly Missions.
Performance Updates
- In the latest update, the devs ppdated the ping calculation to exclude the server frame time.
- Updated markers used by NVIDIA Reflex, allowing Reflex to add better pace frames.
Bugs
Agents
- Fixed a bug where concurrent, overlapping ally and enemy Viper smoke could cause the nearsight and decay to never remove.
- Omen getting stuck in other objects if they were blocking the return location of From the Shadows has been fixed.
- Omen equpping his weapon slower than intended after casting Dark Cover is fixed
- Astra equipping her weapon slower than intended after exiting Astral Form is fixed.
- KAY/O’s NULL/cmd waves will no longer destroythe glass on Ascent.
Competitive
- Leaderboard loading infinitely when searching for a specific player bug has been fixed.
