Patch Notes For Apex Legends Update 1.79 Today (August 30)
A brand new Apex Legends update has arrived, but unfortunately, it’s not to add even further nerfs to Seer.
It was only just last week that Respawn Entertainment deployed a balancing patch to bring Seer back down to earth and make him a little less powerful. But today’s update simply focuses on some standard bug fixes, one of which includes a fix for the Prowler SMG in Arenas.

Prowler Returns To Arenas After Being Disabled
UPDATE: The official patch notes have arrived and it appears that the Prowler hasn’t returned to Arenas just yet. Fingers crossed the fix arrives in a future update.
ORIGINAL STORY: As mentioned previously, today’s update will reportedly see the Prowler SMG return to the Arenas mode in Apex Legends. That’s according to Shrugtal anyway, a Software Engineer and Apex insider.
Minor hotfix patch coming on Monday, likely to fix Prowler in Arenas and a few other bugs.

Following Apex Legend’s previous patch, a further update was deployed that temporarily disabled the Prowler SMG in Arenas due to crashing issues.
To be more specific, a large number of players were reporting issues with Arenas crashing unexpectedly and removing them mid-game. It appears that this issue was related to the Prowler SMG, which was crashing the game whenever a player purchased or picked up a purple rarity version of the weapon.
As to ensure this issue didn’t keep happening, Respawn Entertainment simply removed the weapon from Arenas whilst they worked on a fix. And it looks like today’s update does just that. Check out the full patch notes for the August 30 Apex Legends update for more details.
