Marvel Studios recently released the first official trailer for Ms. Marvel. And after watching the trailer, fans want to learn more about Kamala Khan’s powers and abilities. Well, here’s everything you need to know about it.
Created by Bisha K. Ali, Ms. Marvel is one of the most awaited Disney Plus series right now. The show is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and everyone is excited to watch Kamala Khan’s live-action version in the universe. The show stars Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan along with several talented cast members.
Marvel Studios announced that the project was in development in May 2018, and since then, the community has been waiting to see an official trailer for the series. Well, the wait is now over, and the new trailer gives us a good look at Iman’s Kamala Khan and her powers and abilities.

Ms. Marvel Powers and Abilities Explained
In Marvel comics, Kamala Khan, or Ms. Marvel, has incredible shapeshifting powers. She can use her abilities to extend her limbs and change her appearance. Kamala can also manipulate the size of her fists to land powerful hits on her enemies. Apart from that, she can use the extended length of her limbs to climb tall buildings. Talking about height, Kamala can also grow really tall, which comes in handy in difficult situations.
How Does Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel) Get Her Powers?
In Marvel comics, Kamala Khan gets her power after being exposed to Terrigen Mist. Black Bolt releases the mist into Earth’s atmosphere to awaken powers in some of the talented Inhuman; however, he never though that the mist would awaken the Inhuman ability in Kamala.
Ms. Marvel New Powers in the Trailer Confuses Fans
In the comics, the shapeshifting powers of Kamala Khan are pretty straightforward. Fans who’ve played Marvel’s Avengers video game by Square Enix might already be aware of it. However, Marvel Studios took creative liberty and gave some new powers to the MCU character.
In the trailer, we can see Kamala’s glowing fists, and we can also see her releasing some energy from her hands to close a door. She also uses that mysterious cosmic energy to create some sort of matter in the middle of the air. Of course, this is something that we haven’t seen in the comics, so it’s evident that the trailer got fans talking on Twitter.

The issues I have with the Ms Marvel trailer isn't wholly the change in powers (because, why?).
But Kamala being Inhuman was a HUGE part of her growth and what made her…her.

if we’re being honest I prefer her powers this way (it has a cosmic touch to it). the stretchy thing is cool in the comics but looks kinda lame in live action, the previous ff movies are perfect examples #msmarvel

I think the saddest part about this whole power-change Ms Marvel debacle is that they’re likely going to change her comic book powers since they’re MCU-fying so many comics lately
