‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ Had a Blink-and-Miss ‘Fight Club’ Reference For Brad Pitt’s Eagle-Eyed Fans

Brad Pitt has been a part of some of the biggest movies of all time. Working with some of the most successful and respected directors of all time, he has starred in projects from all different genres, from Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood to Babylon, and Bullet Train. The projects that are most frequently brought up, however, is his 1999 film with Edward Norton, Fight Club.

Fight Club was an iconic film, not only for the actor but as a whole for popular culture. So much so, that the creators of another classic of Pitt’s, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, could not help but reference the classic in their movie. Brad Pitt’s Fight Club Was Referenced In Mr. & Mrs. Smith

Mr. & Mrs. Smith had an excellent cast of actors, with the two leads, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie being at the heights of their careers during its release. It is no surprise that this film chose to hide some secret details about the well-known projects by these two actors. Pitt’s iconic film, Fight Club, seems to have gotten a small nod in this film.

There is a scene in the 2005 film, where Benjamin Danz, played by Adam Brody, was being interrogated by Pitt’s character. Here, Brody’s character is seen wearing a t-shirt that has the words, ‘Fight Club‘ written on it, being a nod to the Oscar-winning actor’s classic. The detail is hidden so well in this scene that one would not be able to spot it if they did not know what they were looking for.
