Mood Music: 20 Songs for a Romantic Dinner, 20 to Get in the Mood, and 20 That Are Actually Better Than Sex!
Maybe it's time to update the phrase "music to my ears", because it seems like music is able to reach us in some much more intimate body parts...
Remember when talked about arousal types and what gets you in the mood? A few commenters pointed out that music really gets works for them and well, a lot people agree. In new research commissioned by Spotify, over 40% of people say that listening to music is more arousing than touch during sex, and one in three people could actually name a song they thought was better than sex! The number one song that's better than getting busy? "Bohemian Rhapsody"! The Wayne's World guys were on to something.
The survey asked 2,000 men and women in the UK to reveal their music choices in order to study the relationship between music, romance and seduction. Some classic standbys were favorites--unsurprisingly, Marvin Gaye took the top two spots for tracks to get in the mood, and the Dirty Dancing soundtrack was the number one music choice to play during sex, but some surprises made the list too. For instance, would you choose ABBA's "Dancing Queen" as the best for flirting on the dance floor? I don't know about that one, but it was the top choice.
