Metal Gear Solid 3 Snake Eater remake shows off first in-engine look

We haven't heard much about Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, the remake of 2004's Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, since it was announced back in May. Now, thanks to the Xbox Partner Preview event, we've got a good look at the game with its first in-engine trailer. Check it out below.Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is in development using Unreal Engine 5, with Konami Digital Entertainment confirming that all of its environments are rendered in UE5 and "captured in-game in real time," adding, "Enjoy the original story of the first game in the timeline of the Metal Gear series, now with cutting-edge graphics and 3D audio, to bring the hostile jungle to life and take stealth survival action to new heights."

We don't yet have a date for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, but interestingly, it could pave the way for more Metal Gear Solid remakes. "We chose Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater because it depicts the birth of Big Boss (Naked Snake), which is the starting point of the Metal Gear series," said one Konami spokesperson, of the decision to remake Metal Gear Solid 3 over the original game. "Another reason is that many fans have been requesting a remake of this game for a long time."

We'll keep an eye out for any more glimpses of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.
