INDIANAPOLIS (WTHR) — Bargain shoppers, brace yourselves – and your wallets – because Marshalls officially opened its online store Tuesday!
Marshalls is giving its customers more ways to shop with slightly different products than what shoppers will find in stores.
The retail store, owned by TJX Cos. Inc., announced that it would be launching an online store back in March.
Before, the company’s website only offered a store locator, gift cards and some other features but now customers can actually purchase items on the site.
According to a press release sent out Tuesday, Marshalls.com offers its own unique mix of items, just as each brick-and-mortar Marshalls store does. However, shoppers shouldn't expect to find the same items in both places.
Making returns will be just as easy when shopping online too. Customers can either return items via mail or in store.
TJX Companies CEO Ernie Herrman told investors during a March conference call that the launch of Marshalls.com did not mean the store locations would be closing. Instead, he hopes that the online shopping experience will drive more foot-traffic to the brick-and-mortar stores.
