Man dies after being struck by 2 vehicles on Albemarle Road – WSOC TV

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A man who was seen running along Reddman Road into the intersection on Albemarle Road Wednesday morning was hit by a Honda Civic, then a Dodge Caravan, Charlotte-Mecklenburg said in a news release.

Dennis J. Dortch died at the scene.

Both vehicles had solid green lights at the intersection and the drivers stopped at the scene.

Early indications in the investigation show that alcohol, drugs and speed were not factors in the crash, police said.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and were not injured.

The driver of the Civic, Michelle Haller, was cited for driving with a revoked license and having an expired registration.

The investigation is continuing.
