Lucknow Super Giants Team History: The Lucknow Super Giants were one of two new teams allowed to join the Indian Premier League during the 2022 season. The Rising Pune Supergiants had previously owned the RPSG Group and successfully bid for the first-ever Lucknow team on October 25. There were six bidders in the race, but the RPSG Group submitted the most expensive bid worth INR 7,090 crore.

Home Ground: The Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Stadium will host the match for the home games for Lucknow Super Giants. The stadium was formerly a harbor but has also served as an international game. It can hold 50,000 people.

Time before pre-season: Players: Lucknow Super Giants announced a list of opening team spots. The pre-season draft roll allowed the organization to fill their top 12 spots. They ended up signing three players for INR 49 million, with key players like KL Rahul, Marcus Stoinis, and Ravi Bishnoi joining them.

The Lucknow Super Giants unveiled a new logo today, with a blue background and bat in the centre. The team’s name is written on the bat with blue as well, suggesting their jersey may have a blueish hue.

Dubbed the Lucknow Super Giants, the team will play home games at the Chaudhry Saran Stadium in Greater Noida. They have yet to reveal their home uniform and away uniforms for 2019. The Lucknow Supergiants took over the social media of a Pune team after the Pune Supergiant was sold to the Lucknow group. Initially, their name was the official IPL Lucknow IPL team, but it was later updated to the Lucknow Super Giants.

As of February 17, 2022, the Lucknow Super Giants had 533k followers on Instagram, 435.7k followers on Twitter and 141k likes on Facebook. The Lucknow Super Giants was bought by the RPSG Group for 710 crores

The club has yet to hire a manager, but they have added three names to the backroom staff. Former Zimbabwe player Andy Flower is the head coach for the team, with former Indian player Vijay Dahiya being his assistant. The coach for Star Sports Pro Kabaddi team is 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 Cricket World Cup winner Gautam Gambhir. Team CEO for the Lucknow Super Giants, Raghu Iyer.
