I am originally from Rockville Centre LI NY and my first train ride was on the LIRR around 1958.

I dreamed of being an Engineer by playing in the LI Steam Engine they had at Salsbury St park back in the 60s. Also in the 60s we lived less than a block away from the LIRR in Baldwin.
