Turns out last night was a big one for the classic black dress and, like the Duchess, these two style stars didn't wear theirs the tame old way, either. Let's start on Kate's side of the pond for the next look by Lady Mary herself, Michelle Dockery.

The Downton Abbey star looks breathtaking in this spaghetti-strap tea-length dress. She brought the corset into the 21st century but wore it as an element of the piece's design, with a touch of sultry lace trim at the top. Very classy with a touch of sexy, but just enough. I do feel like a pair of daintier strappy sandals would have complemented the delicate nature of the dress, but she looks exquisite, nonetheless.
