Kate Middleton Just Shared a Rare Baby Picture for an Important Reason—See Pic
This week has marked the launch of Shaping Us, a milestone in Kate Middleton's royal work in early-childhood development. Indeed, she described the campaign as her “life’s work.”
Launched in partnership with the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, with support from a range of high-profile figures from the world of media, music, science, and sports, the campaign began with the release of a short film, which highlights how babies and children develop in response to their earliest experiences. It was followed by an outing with Prince William to the BAFTA headquarters, then a visit to Leeds earlier this week.
Yesterday the Princess of Wales further promoted the initiative by launching a film with Roman Kemp, one of the champions of Shaping Us. Wrapping up against the winter chill, she pulled on a classic L.K. Bennett Darwin jacket, a chic shearling number that has been in her wardrobe for over a decade, and a favorite Fair Isle knit jumper by Holland Cooper. The practical streak continued with a pair of slim-fit jeans and hard-wearing brown boots by Blundstone.

The princess joined Kemp, son of Spandau Ballet star Martin Kemp, for a stroll to discuss the importance of mental health and early-childhood development, as part of Shaping Us. Kemp, who is a champion for the royal project, touched upon how he became a public advocate for better mental health care and support following the suicide of his close friend and producer Joe Lyons. The royal is also working with celebrities including Fearne Cotton and Professor Green to promote the initiative.
