He reportedly traveled to London in order to attend a legal conference that was scheduled at the University of Hull. It’s interesting to note that Judge Dilawar’s name was added to the list of participants for the English judicial conference on August 4.
A judge had been chosen by the Chief Judge of the Islamabad High Court to attend the aforementioned Judicial Conference. The High Court’s registrar officially informed the session judge in a message dated August 4. The letter suggested Judge Humayun Dilawar be named to attend the training in place of Judge Faizan Haider.

In Islamabad, he serves as an extra district and session judge. After the previous judge, Zafar Iqbal was removed, the Islamabad High Court assigned him to handle the Toshkhana case against Imran Khan.
On August 5, 2023, Judge Humayun Dilawar made his decision public, declared Imran Khan to be dishonest, and sentenced him to three years in prison and a fine of Rs. 100,000. Additionally, he issued an arrest warrant for Imran Khan and told the police in Islamabad to detain him.
Imran Khan was thus barred by the ECP from holding public office for a period of five years in October 2022 for making fraudulent and erroneous disclosures. Thereafter, ECP petitioned the district and sessions courts to file charges against Imran Khan for misrepresenting the gifts to the authorities.
