How to Make a Mojito: National Mojito Day July 11
Just in time to celebrate National Mojito Day—that would be today, July 11—here's an extra-special sparkling version of one of our favorite summertime drinks.
SPARKLING MOJITO
6 to 10 fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish
3/4 ounce fresh lime juice
1/2 ounce simple syrup
1-1/2 ounces rum, such as 10 Cane Rum
Dash of Angostura Bitters
2 ounces champagne or sparkling wine, such as OneHope Sparkling Brut
Muddle the mint leaves, lime juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.
Add rum, bitters, and ice to mixture and shake.
Strain into a cocktail glass and top with champagne or sparkling wine.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves
