How to find Boc the Seamster, invisible man NPC in Elden Ring

Elden Ring, the latest game by FromSoftware and directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki, is full of bizarre NPCs just like its predecessors in the Souls series. One of these NPCs is Boc the Seamster, a half-man, half-monkey who was put under a spell and turned into a tree.

Boc first location in Elden Ring, questline start

You can find Boc for the first time near the big hammer-looking telescope in Limgrave. Teleport to the Agheel Lake North site of grace then follow the road to the south and examine the zone at the southeastern side of the telescope. Boc will call out to you. If you attack or roll into the trees in the area, he’ll appear and reveal he was turned into a tree by a spell.

If you speak to Boc several times, you’ll trigger a questline with him where he’ll ask you to wait until he finds proper rewards for freeing him.

Boc 2nd location in Elden Ring and questline progress

Next, you’ll meet Boc in the Coastal Cave in Limgrave next to the site of grace there. You need to defeat the Demi-Human Chief boss in the cave to get the Sewing Needle and give it to Boc.

Boc 3rd location in Elden Ring

The third time you’ll meet Boc is at the Lake-Facing Cliffs site of grace in Liurnia of the Lakes in the morning or evening. Boc will leave that location at some point as you progress through the game. After you’ve met him in location 2, you’ll also be able to see Boc at the East Capital Ramparts site of grace.

Boc 4th location

Once Boc has left location 3, you’ll find him again at the East Raya Lucaria site of grace. That’s all the locations where you can sequentially meet Boc the Seamster in Elden Ring and progress through his questline.
