How to Beat Banette in Pokemon GO Raid Guide, Weakness, Counters

Pokemon GO’s yearly Halloween event is now upon us and with it, a bunch of brand new raid bosses.

Of course, each of the new raid bosses fits the distinctly spooky theme, with the likes of Yamask, Murkrow, Drifblim and Espurr appearing.

Alongside those, Banette is making an appearance in Three-Star raids and is ready to do battle.

So, to help you take it down, here is how to beat Banette in Pokemon GO, with DualShockers’ Raid Guide that includes its weaknesses and best counters.

Every Banette Weakness in Pokemon GO

Banette is a pure Ghost-type Pokemon. That leaves it with a pair of weaknesses you should look to exploit to help you beat it.

Those weaknesses you want to tackle to help you beat Banette are Dark and Ghost-type moves.

Alongside its weaknesses, Banette resists four different types of moves. Bug and Poison-type moves will only do 63% damage to it and Fighting and Normal-type moves only 39% damage. You’re best off avoiding these two.

Banette Raid Guide and Best Counters

With just two weaknesses, you’ll need to pick your party carefully to help you beat Banette.

There are three really solid Mega options to bring to raids. They are Mega Gengar, Mega Houndoom and Mega Gyarados.

Following that, you should consider Darkrai, Origin Giratina, Yveltal, Gengar, Chandelure, Hydreigon, Zarude, Tyranitar, Hoopa, Weavile and Absol.

Here is the best moveset for each of the above listed Pokemon:
