‘How I ran into over N100million in debt after BBNaija’ – Leo Dasilva reveals

Big Brother Naija season three housemate, Leo Babarinde Akinola Dasilva, called Leo Dasilva, has opened up about his business, recounting how he ran into hundreds of millions in debt.

The star in a chat with Nigerian dancer, Iweh Pascal Odinaka, aka Poco Lee, on the ‘Clout Africa’ podcast, said that after he left the BBNaija house, he started a private equity firm but it was negatively affected by the COVID-19 outbreak in 2020 which lead him into considerable debt.

Leo Dasilva said it took him three years to pay off the debt, he made the last payment not long ago.

He said, “I was neck in debt for three years because I run a private equity firm. And in a month before my birthday. I paid off all the debts. Hundreds of millions.”

Speaking further about the debt he added, “Sometimes I used to wake up with (fear) that “am I going to court today?” Leo also revealed that a lot of people invested in his venture, and some people travelled out of the country. But he “made sure that I paid for all of that”.

“It was COVID-19 that really affected me. Not that I took the money and spent it.”
