Guide for The Golf Club 2019

PGA Tour (Career)

Upon completing the tutorial, you'll be sent back to the main menu. Here, go to "Edit Golfer" on the home page. The only thing you're required to edit on your golfer is your club difficulty, which you should set to Beginner Clubs. You'll likely need to change to a different club difficulty down the road to complete some sponsor goals, but you're a long way from that. Once you've set your clubs to Beginner, feel free to edit anything else on your golfer that you'd like (nationality, gender, appearance, etc).

Once everything is edited to your liking, head back to the home screen and go to "PGA TOUR Career - Play your PGA TOUR Career". On the next screen, you'll see four of the PGA Tours you'll eventually be playing in, but currently, the only one that's unlocked is the one on the left: "Web.com tour - Q School". Pick this, then choose the Very Easy difficulty. You can change your difficulty at any point, but I recommend just playing on Very Easy throughout the whole game just to keep things as simple as possible.

After you've picked Very Easy difficulty, use cn_RB to navigate over to the "Records" tab, then go to Sponsor Goals. The next screen will show you the five sponsors in the game: HB Studios, Tattoo Golf, Royal & Awesome, Vice Golf, and Under Armour. You'll notice that the only sponsor you currently have unlocked is HB Studios, and the other sponsors have certain requirements to unlock them, which you'll naturally obtain over your tour career. For now, press cn_A on the HB Studios sponsor.

You'll see that your sponsor status for HB Studios is ACTIVE. As mentioned on the general hints & tips page, you can only have one sponsor active at a time. This means that if you complete the requirements for a sponsor goal of an inactive sponsor, you will not complete that sponsor goal. For example, if you have HB Studios set as your active sponsor, but complete the requirements for a Vice Golf sponsor goal, you will NOT complete the Vice Golf sponsor goal (since it wasn't your active sponsor).

Although you can change your current active sponsor at any time, keep in mind that activating a different sponsor will lose all progress you've made on sponsor goals with multiple steps. You WILL NOT lose progress on sponsor goals that are already completed (denoted by a red checkmark). You can also use cn_LB and cn_RB to view the three different levels of your sponsor goals (each level has three different goals to complete, besides HB Studios, which only has one sponsor goal per level). You can't access the next level of sponsor goals until you've completed the previous level.

Level 1 of the HB Studios sponsor has the sponsor goal: "Finish a PGA TOUR Career mode event", which you will earn momentarily. Over the course of your PGA Tour career, you'll be working on a cumulative achievement to complete 30 of the 39 total sponsor goals.

This page lists my recommendations on which sponsor goal(s) you should try to complete for each event. You DO NOT need to follow the sponsor goals I recommend, and you are free to pick whatever sponsor goals you'd like throughout your entire season.

Keep in mind that several of the sponsor goals are heavily luck-based, and you may be fortunate enough to get them early on (assuming that the goal you met the requirements for is under the sponsor you currently have activated). Therefore, you might find that your progress on sponsor goals can vary from what this guide says. Personally, I was able to complete 30 sponsor goals in one season. Progress towards sponsor goals does carry over into future seasons, so don't worry if you don't complete all 30 in your first season. As a general rule of thumb, it is totally fine for you to have more sponsor goals completed than I have recommended throughout the guide. However, you don't want to be too far behind on sponsor goals.

Navigate to the "Settings" tab, and make sure that the Rounds Per Event is set to 1. This means that you'll only be playing one round per event (in the real PGA Tour, golfers play four rounds per event). The only time you'll ever want to play more than one round in an event is for sponsor goals that specifically tell you to play a certain number of rounds per event.

Head back to the "Play Event" tab, and you'll see that your very first tournament is actually the final round of a championship: Q-School Final at TPC Scottsdale. Press cn_A to start the event, and you'll begin playing the round.

Web.com Q-School Tour Event: Q-School Final

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • HB Studios
    • Level 1
      • Finish a PGA TOUR Career mode event

You should aim to finish in the top 50 here, which shouldn't be a problem at all (if it is, I strongly recommend you go back to Training for a bit). For reference, the best AI will finish at around E or +1, whereas you'll need around +8 or better to be in the top 50.

For all 18 holes of this round, I recommend you take it slow and easy, and keep the club and shot selection that the game automatically gives you. If you really feel comfortable early on, you can certainly try attempting some of the advanced shots that you learned in the tutorial.

Even though you're playing on Very Easy difficulty and using Beginner Clubs, you won't necessarily win this round. It's totally fine (and expected) to get a couple of bogeys or even double bogeys. It won't take long for you to adjust to all of the shots in this game, and, most importantly, reading the greens as you putt. At the lower-end, you should try and finish all 18 holes with a score of +5. On the higher-end, a score of -5 or better is fantastic and puts you in excellent shape for the rest of the game.

Upon completing the event in the top 50, you will advance to the next part of your tour and unlock:

For completing this event, you'll also be at 1/30 Sponsor Goals. After you've unlocked your achievement, press "Advance" and you'll see that you've been promoted to the Web.com tour. In order to advance to the next tour, the PGA Tour (which you want to do as soon as possible), you'll need to either win three of the next six events you'll play, or finish in the top 25% of the earnings list across the six events.

Web.com Tour Event #1: Web.com Tour Opener

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • HB Studios
    • Level 2
      • Place in the top 25 of a PGA TOUR Career mode event

Hopefully, the first event helped you to get a better grasp of the game and an understanding of the basics. Now, it's time for you to continue to learn, and maybe even start to get more comfortable with the advanced shots that you learned in the tutorial (if necessary).

All you need to do here is finish the event in the top 25 to complete 2/30 Sponsor Goals, but you should be aiming to win this event (and all events from here on out) so you can reach the PGA Tour quicker. Winning this event will require a final score of around +2 or better.

Web.com Tour Event #2: Sand Dune Classic

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • HB Studios
    • Level 3
      • Place in the top 10 of 3 PGA TOUR Career mode events (1/3)

Your HB Studios Level 3 sponsor goal is now to place in the top 10 of three events. This shouldn't be any problem for you, since you should be winning the event anyway. Again, the best AI will finish with a score of around E or +1. If you don't win, don't worry, as there are more events for you to play on this tour, but you really need to be winning all of your events from here on out. Remember that you can go back to Training if you're struggling with certain areas of your game.

On Hole 5, don't bother trying to drive the green right away, as you have a good chance of ending up in the water or a hazard beyond the crowd. Just play it safe by hitting the fairway on the right, then using a wedge to land near the pin. I can't stress enough how important it is to just play all of your shots safely throughout the entire game. Consistent birdies and pars are far better off than bogeys or double bogeys that result from over-confident shots that end up unplayable.

Winning this event should put you at a net worth of around 1,000 or above, which is displayed in the top right-hand corner of the menu, denoted by a coin icon. If you're not quite there yet, you will be very soon, unlocking:

Web.com Tour Event #3: East Coast Classic

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • HB Studios
    • Level 3
      • Place in the top 10 of 3 PGA TOUR Career mode events (2/3)

Assuming you've won both of the previous events so far, this should be your third and final event to advance to the PGA Tour (assuming you win again). By doing this, you'll naturally be at 2/3 events completed for your Level 3 HB Studios sponsor.

For Holes 1 and 2, I recommend using a driver off the tee to give you a solid chance at Eagle for both holes. Of course, if you're not yet quite comfortable with your swing tempo, then just play the holes normally (i.e., use the club and shot type that the game recommends for you). Hole 4 is also drivable, but this one is a bit more tricky and probably isn't necessary. Hole 18 is another great opportunity at Eagle if you need it, since you can use a driver to hit far into the wide-open fairway, then wedge up to the green.

If you still need to play more Web.com tour events to either win three events or finish in the top 25% of earnings, you can continue on with the events. They are:

  • Lighthouse Open
  • Lunenburg Championship
  • Summit Championship

Once you've made it to the PGA Tour, you'll unlock:

PGA Tour Event #1: The Golf Club Open

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • HB Studios
    • Level 3
      • Place in the top 10 of 3 PGA TOUR Career mode events (3/3)

The course for this event, Caramel Creek, is very easy, and you shouldn't have any problems taking yet another first place (although all you really need is to finish in the top 10 again). If you've been keeping up with sponsor goals so far, then you will be at 3/30 Sponsor Goals once you finish this hole in the top 10, which also completes the HB Studios sponsor goals. Furthermore, by completing your first PGA Tour event, you will unlock the Tattoo Golf Sponsor, which means you're going to start working on their Level 1 sponsor goals immediately.

When you complete the round, you'll get the notification that you have a new rival. The game will pair you with a random rival, who you'll be competing against in events from here on out. There are three different categories that you and your rival are competing for:

  • Shots Taken
  • Front 9 Score
  • Back 9 Score
  • Birdies or Better
  • No Bogey Round
  • Best Hole
  • Worst Hole

At the end of each event, you'll earn one point for each of these categories that you win. If your rival wins a category, then they'll win the point. Your ultimate goal with this rivalry is to score 45 total points before your rival does. Since you're on very easy difficulty with beginner clubs, this won't be a problem at all.

Something else that you'll unlock upon completing this event is your Handicap. In golf, a handicap is simply a measurement that reflects a golfer's skill level. If you consistently score E, then your handicap score will be +0. If you consistently score 7 under par, then your handicap score will be +7. Assuming you've been playing well so far, then you will be at least a +0 handicap or better (you should be higher than this by now), unlocking:

Keep in mind that as you play, you should be trying to consistently raise your handicap score. Your goal is to reach +10, which means you're averaging around -10 per event. This might seem a little too difficult right now, but you'll naturally get better as you play, and you can also easily raise your handicap score later on in Local Matches.

PGA Tour Event #2: Champions Invitational

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Tattoo Golf
    • Level 1
      • Finish 3 consecutive rounds in the PGA TOUR under Par (1/3)
      • Win an event in the PGA TOUR
      • Score Par or better in a round of a PGA TOUR event without hitting any hazards

Double check to make sure Tattoo Golf is your active sponsor, then you can begin the round. Essentially, you're working on all three of the Level 1 sponsor goals at once, although you'll only complete two of them, whilst making a third of the progress on the first goal (finish under Par in three consecutive rounds). Theoretically, you could change the Rounds Per Event to "3" for this event so that you can complete all three sponsor goals during this event, but I don't think that's necessary.

Hazards refer to the thick rough, sand traps, water, and any shot that otherwise lands out-of-bounds. As long as you just land your shots in open fairways and on/near the green, you shouldn't have a problem avoiding hazards. If you do hit a hazard, don't worry, since you still have to finish three rounds in a row under par to complete Level 1 of this sponsor anyway. In other words, you should have all three of the above sponsor goals completed by the time you complete PGA Tour Event #4 (Tall Palms Classic). Once you finish the round (ideally with a win), you should be at 5/30 Sponsor Goals.

At the very end of the event, you'll see how you performed against your rival. Ideally, you should win at least three points per event against your rival. However, three points is more on the lower-end, and you might find you take all seven of the points rather frequently, which will bring you up to 45 points in no time.

This should also be your second PGA Tour event in which you finish in the top 10, which will unlock the Royal & Awesome Sponsor. Since you want to complete Level 1 of this new sponsor as soon as possible, it's important that you finish off Level 1 of Tattoo Golf in as few events as possible (remember, you lose all progress on sponsor goals with multiple steps if you switch sponsors before the goal is completed). As previously mentioned, the earliest you'll be able to complete Level 1 of the Tattoo Golf sponsor goals is upon completing Event #4 (Tall Palms Classic).

PGA Tour Event #3: Shriners Hospitals for Children Open

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Tattoo Golf
    • Level 1
      • Finish 3 consecutive rounds in the PGA TOUR under Par (2/3)

Assuming that you've completed the other two sponsor goals for this Level, then you should only be left with completing two more rounds under Par. If for some reason you didn't complete the other two sponsor goals during the previous event, then you should get them here.

You might notice that the course you're playing this event at is called TPC Summerlin. The "TPC" in the name stands for "Tournament Player Club", which is just a fancy way of saying that the course is very prestigious and owned by the PGA Tour. Throughout the game, you will be playing on several different TPC courses, with each course having an achievement for obtaining a particularly low score for an 18-hole round on the course. Here's what they are:

  • TPC Summerlin - Score 60 or better (-12)
  • TPC Scottsdale - Score 60 or better (-11)
  • TPC Sawgrass - Score 63 or better (-9)
  • TPC Southwind - Score 61 or better (-9)
  • TPC Deere Run - Score 59 or better (-12)
  • TPC Boston - Score 61 or better (-12)

If you aren't able to obtain the score needed for the achievement during this event, don't worry, because you can replay all of the TPC courses in a Local Match with custom settings to earn the TPC Mastery achievements. This means that you can use Beginner Clubs, with wind turned OFF, and any other course conditions you'd like to make this easier.

If you are not able to reach -12 or better for this event, don't worry, since you can replay the course later with easier settings in a Local Match. Once you reach a score of 60 (-12) on the TPC Summerlin course, you'll unlock:

PGA Tour Event #4: Tall Palms Classic

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Tattoo Golf
    • Level 1
      • Finish 3 consecutive rounds in the PGA TOUR under Par (3/3)

Upon completing this event, you should have all of the Tattoo Golf Level 1 sponsors completed, putting you at 6/30 Sponsor Goals. Now that you have Level 1 of Tattoo Golf sponsor goals completed, you can activate Level 1 of the Royal & Awesome sponsor.

PGA Tour Event #5: Green Hill Classic

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Royal & Awesome
    • Level 1
      • Score Par or better in a round of a PGA TOUR event with 1.7-Putts-Per-Hole or fewer
      • Place in the top 5 of 2 PGA TOUR events (1/2)
      • Finish 5 PGA TOUR events (1/5)

For the next five events, you'll only be working on Level 1 of the Royal & Awesome sponsor goals. As you can see, the third sponsor goal of this Level is to finish five events. Therefore, you'll have five opportunities to complete the first two goals of this level as well. Placing in the Top 5 of two events shouldn't be an issue, and should come by the time you complete the next event.

As for the first goal of having 1.7-Putts-Per-Hole or fewer, this might take a few attempts. It's impossible for me to give you a number of how many putts you should have per hole in order to average 1.7 putts, since some holes you may have more than two putts (avoid this at all costs), while other holes may have zero putts that occur from you chipping the ball into the cup from the fairway (you shouldn't expect this to happen, but it helps out significantly). For a broad reference, if you have 12 holes that you have exactly two putts on, that means that the remaining six holes must be one putts (or zero putts) in order to average 1.7-Putts-Per-Hole.

PGA Tour Event #6: The Juno Cup

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Royal & Awesome
    • Level 1
      • Score Par or better in a round of a PGA TOUR event with 1.7-Putts-Per-Hole or fewer (unless you've already completed it)
      • Place in the top 5 of 2 PGA TOUR events (2/2)
      • Finish 5 PGA TOUR events (2/5)

By now, you should really be in the rhythm of how sponsor goals work. If at any point you feel like you are behind in your sponsor goals, then I'd recommend you just finish off the 30 goals at your own pace, or head into training for a bit to help out whatever part of your game you're struggling in.

PGA Tour Event #7: The Reverie Open

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Royal & Awesome
    • Level 1
      • Score Par or better in a round of a PGA TOUR event with 1.7-Putts-Per-Hole or fewer (unless you've alreadycompleted it)
      • Finish 5 PGA TOUR events (3/5)

If you've already completed the first two sponsor goals for this level, then you're in really good shape, and all that's left for you is to simply complete events so that you can finish the final sponsor goal. Remember to not get too lazy though, since you're still trying to work towards increasing your handicap to +10 (averaging -10 or better per event). Furthermore, you should already be close to unlocking the Vice Golf Sponsor, which requires playing in a total of five PGA TOUR events with a score of +2 or better.

PGA Tour Event #8: Waste Management Phoenix Open

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Royal & Awesome
    • Level 1
      • Score Par or better in a round of a PGA TOUR event with 1.7-Putts-Per-Hole or fewer (unless you've alreadycompleted it)
      • Finish 5 PGA TOUR events (4/5)

You'll be playing on TPC Scottsdale for this event. The achievement for Mastery of this course requires a score of 60 or better (-11). If you aren't able to obtain that score during this event, don't worry, becauseyou can replay all of the TPC courses in a Local Match with custom settings to earn the TPC Mastery achievements. This means that you can use Beginner Clubs, with wind turned OFF, and any other course conditions you'd like to make this easier.

PGA Tour Event #9: Chariot Open

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Royal & Awesome
    • Level 1
      • Finish 5 PGA TOUR events (5/5)

Upon completing this event, you should have all of the Level 1 Royal & Awesome sponsor goals completed, which should put you at 9/30 Sponsor Goals. With this Level completed, you can activate the Vice Golf sponsor and begin working on its Level 1 sponsor goals.

PGA Tour Event #10: Whistable Championship

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Vice Golf
    • Level 1
      • Hit a drive of 300 yards or longer in a PGA TOUR event
      • Finish a round in a PGA TOUR event with at least 5 birdies or more
      • Finish a round with Par or better in a PGA TOUR event

Before you begin this event, you'll want to switch to either Pro or Master clubs, because you'll be unable to reach a 300-yard drive with your beginner clubs. Although the Pro and Master clubs make every shot a bit more difficult than Beginner clubs, you still shouldn't have any significant problems playing with them (i.e., you should still win this event). You might not be able to complete every sponsor goal for this Level, but you should make sure you at least get the 300-yard drive completed so that you can switch back to beginner clubs (if you enjoy playing with the more difficult clubs, feel free to keep playing with them then!)

PGA Tour Event #11: The Southern Open

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Vice Golf
    • Level 1
      • Finish a round in a PGA TOUR event with at least 5 birdies or more
      • Finish a round with Par or better in a PGA TOUR event

I listed the other two Level 1 sponsors again here, just in case you didn't finish them off in the previous event. If you already completed Level 1 of Vice Golf sponsor goals, then you can switch to Level 2 of any other sponsor to try and get some completed before the next event. Either way, you'll want to complete Level 1 of the Vice Golf goals before proceeding to the next event, since you'll want to have Level 2 of Vice Golf unlocked for your next event, which is your first Major! Upon completing Vice Golf Level 1, you should be at 12/30 Sponsor Goals.

PGA Tour Event #12: The Legends Championship (MAJOR #1)

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Vice Golf
    • Level 2
      • Win a 4 round PGA TOUR event by leading every round
      • Place in the top 3 of 3 consecutive PGA TOUR events (1/3)
      • Finish a Major event with a score of Par or better

Before you start this event, make sure you have Vice Golf as your active sponsor. Assuming you're on Level 2 of their sponsor goals, then you should change the Rounds Per Event to "4" in order to complete the first sponsor goal of this level. This means that you'll be playing all 18 holes of this course four times in a row, and you'll need to be winning at the end of each round. While this isn't at all "difficult", it certainly is time-consuming (it will take at least an hour to get through four rounds) and it can get repetitive playing the same holes over and over again. However, one positive outlook on this is that you'll get a lot of experience on each hole to basically guarantee a win by a lot of strokes.

It is imperative that you win this event, since all five of the Majors have an achievement for winning them. If you do not win, you can't restart or reset the event, and will instead have to start a new season and play through until the Major again. It is not difficult to win this event. In fact, it is basically the same as any event you've played so far (the best AI will finish with a score of around -1 to +1, so you have some room for error).

For winning this four round Major with a final score or par or better, you will be at 14/30 Sponsor Goals and will also unlock the Under Armour Sponsor, which will be your final sponsor in the game, unlocking:

At this point, I had also scored 45 points against my Rival, which resulted in me winning the Rivalry. If you haven't unlocked this yet, then you're likely close:

PGA Tour Event #13: Evergreen Classic

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Vice Golf
    • Level 2
      • Place in the top 3 of 3 consecutive PGA TOUR events (2/3)

I'm going to recommend you stick with the Vice Golf Level 2 sponsor and finish off the goal to place in the top 3 of three consecutive events. If for some reason you mess this up and end up resetting the goal, then you can certainly look at other sponsor goals to see if you want to complete them now.

PGA Tour Event #14: Creighton Championship

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Vice Golf
    • Level 2
      • Place in the top 3 of 3 consecutive PGA TOUR events (3/3)

Once you finish this event and complete all of the Vice Golf Level 2 sponsor goals, you should be at 15/30 Sponsor Goals.

Proceed to the next event to begin your second Major!

PGA Tour Event #15: THE PLAYERS Championship (MAJOR #2)

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Royal & Awesome
    • Level 2
      • Finish a PGA TOUR event with more than 1 round
      • Hole-out from off the green in a PGA TOUR event
      • Finish a round in a PGA TOUR event with a score of -5 or better

During this event, if you do not complete the goal that says to "hole-out from off the green in a PGA TOUR event", yet you complete the other two goals, then I recommend you just move on to a different sponsor goal. Achieving a hole-out from off the green is heavily luck-based, and you shouldn't expect to get it unless you're really trying to get it (but even then, it's still difficult to accomplish). If you aren't able to finish the hole-out goal here, I do recommend later in the guide (Event #20) that you can try again in order to unlock Level 3 of Royal & Awesome.

Realistically, you can start activating whatever sponsor goals you'd like from here on out, but if you continue to follow along with the ones I recommend for each event, then you'll definitely have 30 of them done by the end of this season (meaning you won't need to start a new season to continue completing sponsor goals).

Remember, it is imperative that you win this event, since all five of the Majors have an achievement for winning them.If you do not win, you can't restart or reset the event, and will instead have to start a new season and play through until the Major again.

Furthermore, this Major takes place on TPC Sawgrass, which means you can aim for the Mastery achievement here. The 18-hole score requirement for the Mastery achievement on TPC Sawgrass is 63 (-9).

For completing the Level 2 Royal & Awesome sponsor goals (not including the goal to hole-out from off the green), you'll be at 17/30 Sponsor Goals. For winning the event, you'll unlock:

PGA Tour Event #16: Trinity Invitational

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Tattoo Golf
    • Level 2
      • Score Par or better on 3 holes in a PGA TOUR event with 1-Putts-Per-Hole or fewer
      • Place in the top 5 in 3 consecutive PGA TOUR events (1/3)
      • Complete a round in a PGA TOUR event hitting every green in regulation (GIR)

Your objective over the next three events is to complete all of the Level 2 Tattoo Golf sponsors. For this event, you should easily obtain the three pars with 1-putts-per-hole or fewer. As for hitting every GIR, you might not complete that goal on this event, since The Nomad is one of the more difficult courses you've played at so far. If you do miss a GIR on this event, don't worry, since you still have to play two more events to complete the other sponsor goal anyways.

PGA Tour Event #17: The Colombus Cup

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Tattoo Golf
    • Level 2
      • Place in the top 5 in 3 consecutive PGA TOUR events (2/3)
      • Complete a round in a PGA TOUR event hitting every green in regulation (GIR) (unless you already completed it)

If you didn't complete the GIR sponsor goal in the last event, then you can do that again here. Since you really want to have all of the Tattoo Golf Level 2 goals completed by the end of the next event, then you should consider making the event multiple rounds so that you can keep going for the GIR goal without progressing too far in the season.

PGA Tour Event #18: FedEx St. Jude Classic

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Tattoo Golf
    • Level 2
      • Place in the top 5 in 3 consecutive PGA TOUR events (3/3)
      • Complete a round in a PGA TOUR event hitting every green in regulation (GIR) (unless you already completed it)

Hopefully, you completed the GIR goal in the previous event. If not, then I strongly encourage you to make this event multiple rounds so that you can get it here. Level 3 of Tattoo Golf has two relatively easy goals to complete, which is why you want it unlocked.

The course for this event is TPC Southwind. The 18-hole score requirement for the Mastery achievement on TPC Southwind is 61 (-9).

For completing Level 2 of Tattoo Golf, you should be at 20/30 Sponsor Goals. Onto your third Major!

PGA Tour Event #19: Northwest Open (MAJOR #3)

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Under Armour
    • Level 1
      • Shoot 3 consecutive birdies or better in a single round of a PGA TOUR event
      • Win a PGA TOUR event by one stroke or more
      • Hit a Par 4 green in a single stroke in a PGA TOUR event

I recommend completing Level 1 of Under Armour as fast as possible now so that you can unlock its subsequent levels and finish off 30 sponsor goals by the end of the season. The only chance you really have at hitting the green in a single stroke for this course is on Hole 3, so make sure you do that!

For winning the event, you'll unlock:

For completing Level 1 of Under Armour sponsor goals, you should be at 23/30 Sponsor Goals.

PGA Tour Event #20: John Deere Classic

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Royal & Awesome
    • Level 2
      • Hole-out from off the green in a PGA TOUR event (unless you've already completed it)

The course for this event is TPC Deere Run. The 18-hole score required for the Mastery achievement on TPC Deere Run is 59 (-12). Since your main focus is trying to get the Mastery score for the course, I recommend that you switch back to Level 2 of the Royal & Awesome goals, unless either of the following is true for your game:

1) You've already completed Level 2 of Royal & Awesome

  • In this case, just do whatever goals you'd like!

2) You have other current sponsor goals in progress

  • In this case, finish off those goals!

If you aren't able to finish off Level 2 of Royal & Awesome during this event, just know that you still have nine more events left of this season to finish off your 30 sponsor goals however you'd like. If you do complete Level 2 of Royal & Awesome, then you should be at 24/30 Sponsor Goals.

As previously mentioned, the achievement for Mastery in an 18-hole round at TPC Deere Run is 59 (-12).

PGA Tour Event #21: The Royal Championship (MAJOR #4)

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Royal & Awesome
    • Level 2
      • Hole-out from off the green in a PGA TOUR event (unless you've already completed it)

Again, I'm recommending you complete Level 2 of the Royal & Awesome goals, unless you have completed it already. If you've already completed this Level, then do whatever sponsor goals you'd like!

Remember,it is imperative that you win this event, since all five of the Majors have an achievement for winning them.If you do not win, you can't restart or reset the event, and will instead have to start a new season and play through until the Major again.

For winning this Major, you'll unlock:

At this point, I had accumulated a handicap score of +10, netting me the following achievement:

If you're not at a handicap of +10 yet, keep on completing events with low scores to get closer to +10. Remember that your Handicap score counts across all game modes, meaning that if you don't need to start a new season for any other achievements, you can simply play Local Matches on easier settings (whatever you're comfortable with) to reach the handicap goal.

PGA Tour Event #22: Skipjack Open

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Under Armour
    • Level 2
      • Score Par or better in a round of a PGA TOUR event with 1.5-Putts-Per-Hole or fewer
      • Win a multi-round PGA TOUR event
      • Score Par or better in 2 rounds of PGA TOUR events using Master Clubs

If you have Under Armour Level 2 available yet, then you should switch your Rounds Per Event to 2, along with switching over to Master Clubs. Remember that Master Clubs require much more precise speed and consistency compared to Beginner Clubs, so stay focused on every shot.

Using Master Clubs on a multi-round event will net you the bottom two sponsor goals here, but you might not complete the first one that says to finish with 1.5-Putts-Per-Hole or fewer. Assuming this is the case, then you can go on to the next event and try to finish Level 2.

PGA Tour Event #23: Northwood Invitational

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Under Armour
    • Level 2
      • Score Par or better in a round of a PGA TOUR event with 1.5-Putts-Per-Hole or fewer (unless you've already completed it)

Assuming you completed the other two goals for this Level, you can switch back to Beginner clubs and put the Rounds Per Event back to 1. If you don't feel confident enough that you can manage 1.5 Putts-Per-Hole or fewer, you can do other sponsor goals, but I recommend having Level 3 of Under Armour unlocked for your next event, since one of the Under Armour Level 3 goals is to simply win a major - which is your next event!

For completing Level 2 of Under Armour, you should be at around 27/30 Sponsor Goals.

PGA Tour Event #24: The Golf Club Championship (MAJOR #5)

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Under Armour
    • Level 3
      • Win a Major event

This is your final Major of the season! Since you need to win this Major anyway for an achievement, you might as well activate Level 3 of Under Armour to complete the simple sponsor goal to win a Major. Of course, this is assuming that you have Level 3 of Under Armour unlocked. If you do not have Level 3 unlocked, you can pick whatever sponsor goals you'd like!

For winning the Major, you'll unlock:

This should put you at around 28/30 Sponsor Goals.

PGA Tour Event #25: Tributary Championship

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

  • Tattoo Golf
    • Level 3
      • Win a PGA TOUR event which has two or more rounds where every round was below Par.
      • Score an Eagle or better on any hole of a PGA TOUR event.

If you've been consistent with what this walkthrough has listed for sponsor goals (which you may very well not have) then you only have two sponsor goals left to reach 30. Tattoo Golf Level 3 was the easiest for me to finish off, but you may have some other ones you'd rather do. Another relatively easy goal to complete is in Under Armour Level 3 to complete around without any Bogeys.

If you don't finish off 30 Sponsor Goals by the end of this event, then continue on doing whatever goals you'd like while following along with the rest of the guide. Remember, sponsor goals carry over into future seasons if you don't finish all 30 by the end of this season!

For completing 30/30 Sponsor Goals, you'll unlock:

PGA Tour Event #26: HB Studios Invitational

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

If you still need to reach 30 completed Sponsor Goals, then pick whatever goals across whatever Sponsors/Levels you'd like as you continue to win (or be close to winning) events.

PGA Tour Event #27: Dell Technologies Championship

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

The course for this event is TPC Boston. The 18-hole score requirement for the Mastery achievement on TPC Boston is 61 (-12).

PGA Tour Event #28: Trios Championship

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

Upon completing this event, if you earned enough FedEx cup points this season, then you'll earn a notification stating you can move on to the Season Championship. Assuming you've been somewhat following along with this walkthrough and winning most of your events, you'll have more than enough points to qualify for the championship.

PGA Tour Event #29: Season Championship

Recommended Sponsor Goal(s) for this Event:

Once you've qualified for the championship, all qualifying players will be reseeded based on your position in the overall standings. Regardless, you will likely need to take first place in this championship so that you earn enough FedEx cup points to guarantee a FedEx Cup win (i.e. win the entire season).

Upon winning the event and ending overall with the most FedEx cup points, you'll win the season, unlocking:

If you did not earn every achievement listed on this page, that means you're in one (or more) of the following scenarios:

1) You did not reach a total of 30 completed Sponsor Goals

  • Simply continue to your next season, and all of your completed sponsor goals will carry over. Complete whatever sponsor goals are easiest or you're most comfortable going for, since you're likely close to finishing off 30 goals anyway.

2) You did not unlock all five of the achievements for winning all five Majors

  • In this case, you must continue to your season and play through until you reach the Major of whatever achievement(s) you still need, making sure you win the event(s). Remember, you can't reset or restart an event, which is why I listed on this page that it is crucial that you win each Major once you start it.

3) You did not earn all of the Mastery achievements for the TPC Courses

  • Don't worry. It is unlikely that you earned all of these achievements during your first season anyway. Simply load up a Local Match on the TPC Course you need the achievement(s) for, making sure it's set to 18 holes, then pick any other settings you're most comfortable with (wind turned OFF) to reach the score requirement on the course.

4) You have not reached a Handicap of +10

  • To quickly get a Handicap of +10, simply follow this method as recommended to the community by Sashamorning
    • Go to a Local Match
    • Change Course > More Filters > Search > "BD's Silly Seven"
    • Play through this very easy course as many times as you need until you reach a Handicap of +10
