Guide for Cris Tales (Windows)

Go northeast, grab the chest with Light Armored Boots and equip them on Cristopher. He loses 2 MATK but gains 5 SPD and always gets first turn. Enter the nearest building. After the scene head to the back wall and, once you pass the bench check the dresser, go east. Go into the future and grab the chest to the right with a Rose Necklace. Then go into the past and check the dresser again to get 3 keychains. These can be put on your weapon to confer bonuses. Enter the menu, choose equipment, pick a character and then choose upgrade weapon at the bottom to put keychains on weapons here. Toxic is the only one that boosts MATK so give that to Cristopher. Spiked gives 30 ATK, but the user takes some of the damage. I gave this to Crisbell. The other can go on Wilheim when we get him back. Exit the menu and another scene starts. Finally, enter the past, grab the projector in front of the table for a scene, and then you can leave.

Head west past the first building and enter the church. On the right side in the future, there's a chest with an Anti-Charm Mirror. In the past on the left side is a chest with an Iron Gauntlet. Head left a screen, then to the left side of the room to find a chest with an Antidote. Return to the previous screen and go up a screen. After the scene, talk to Mother Superior (the one on the left) and then interact with the altar.

Neva Tulira

Leave (save on the way if you want) and then head east and enter the big building just east of you, which is the town Neva Tulira. Go north for some scenes, then north a bit more for a scene with Rojo. Talk to him afterward and then head up the first flight of stairs to the shop. If you happen to have 24000 marbles, I would drop them on the Sorcerer's Sandals. They lower ATK by 70, but boost MATK by 70. To give you an idea of how big a boost that is, that's basically twice the boost you'd get from fully upgrading a character's weapon. While it is certainly useful now, it will be incredibly useful in the next town, so we want it before we leave. If you can't buy it now (I had 21000 marbles so I was close), get it when you can.

Anyway, head east to find a chest with a Mana Potion in the future. Go up the closest stairs and talk to Rysa (the girl with bird legs). After that head west and grab the chest with a Rainbow Tea in the past. Head up the next set of stairs to the sign post. Go right for a save point, then go left to the dead end and grab the chest with a Healing Juice in the past. Head in the nearby door to enter the Museum.

Museum

Approach the...whatever the hell is above you and interact with it for a scene, talk to Rysa to the right, then head right to the next screen to enter the "dungeon" part with enemies. There's a few enemy types here. The wolves are weak to fire, die in one Fireblast from Cristopher, and attack like the previous wolves do. The Tricoons become very powerful enemies after a few turns so make sure to kill them ASAP. When you scan them, it just tells you their HP and not their weaknesses, but one Fireblast kills them. The B-Knights are weak to Thunder Spheres and take 2 to die. Finally there's a slime enemy that doesn't have any weaknesses, so just use whatever.

You find a save point here. Head left a few steps and go south, then at the fork go west. Grab the chest with a Cup of Coffee. Go left and grab the chest with a Healing Juice. Go east to the other path of the fork and grab the chest with an Anti-Mute. Return to the save point and go left. After the 3 doors you reach a fork, go south and grab the chest with an Anti-Mute. Now go north and interact with the statue in the back to get a hand. A pillar falls southeast of you. Head to it and interact with it. Choose to restore. Return to the save point and go down the stairs, then left and down the stairs again. Interact with the fallen pillar north of you and choose to decay. Grab the book behind it for a scene and to start a side quest. Go through the pillar, then revert and restore it.

Go up the first set of stairs and then go north, follow the path left. Enter the first door and check the dresser on the right for an item (not sure if this counts as a chest so just in case). Head inside the second door and interact with the bookcase on the right and then the painting, choose to restore. Continue left, interact with the fallen pillar and decay it. Head left to find another pillar and decay it as well so you can grab the chest with a Rainbow Tea. Go through the pillar and then revert and restore it. You can save to the left, and you also get a scene. Go right through the pillar then revert and restore it. Return to the first save point of the area. Enter the room to the right of it. Check the right bookcase for the second part of the code. Interact with the dresser on the left side and choose decay to get a ruler (another side quest). Back at the save point, head west. The path just below the first pillar we restored is there now, so go ahead and cross it. Go up to the bookcase and decay it to get a Mirror (guess what? SIDEQUEST). Go down and then left and interact with the prisoner. Once you reach a room, head inside and check the sparkle by the chair. Continue left past the stairs for a chest with a Sapphire Ring.

Go down the stairs to a fork. Go left and grab the chest with Heavy Boots. The final piece of the password is on the wall behind the stairs. Go right to a fork and go right to find a chest with a Mana Potion. Go back to the fork and go north to come around to the second save point. Save, heal with a tent if needed, and interact with the gate to the left. The code is "Tulira's Elite Prowess." Note that if you answer wrong you get a fight, so I suppose you could use it to grind if you wanted to. Head through the gate and follow the path to another gate. A scene occurs and a boss fight awaits.

Go through the gate above to start the boss fight. I'll be honest, I don't know much about the boss mechanics because the fight is so easy. The boss makes pits you can destroy and jumps between them. The attack can stun a character unless you block it. It also has regular attacks that hit everyone. The strategy is pretty simple, Cristopher spams Water Bubble and you win. Have Crisbell Celeritas Cristopher and the boss should die before he does relevant damage to you, in about 4-5 Water Bubbles. Watch the video, it's easy.

After the fight, grab the chest for Feather Boots to the right in the future. Interact with the fireplace, go into the past and interact with it again. Then return to the present and talk to Rhys. Go through through the door in the back on the right to reach the start of the museum, then leave. Head right to the sign post and then north. Before heading inside, go left and open the chest with a Cup of Coffee in the past. Go right and enter the middle door.

Go up and talk to the dude by the painting for a scene. Return to the Museum (leave, go south to the sign post, then left to the Museum). Talk to Lucio (the old guy) and head right back into the dungeon. Save your game as a boss fight is coming. Go left and enter the 3rd door and check the painting for the keys. Continue left across the path we made with the pillars and interact with the prisoner's cell to start a fight.

The one on the right can stun characters and has much lower HP, so target it first. You can't scan their weaknesses, so just spam Water Bubble or Fireblast at it while Crisbell uses Celeritas on Cristopher and Wilheim can either attack or use explosive Yucandras. Once it is down, focus the one on the left. Spam Fireblast, Celeritas and Explosive Yucandras to another easy win. After the scene, talk to Lucio and then Franny, then leave. Go all the way right and enter the building here. Talk to Oropen in the back to get the tools for the main quest, then talk to him a few more times. You should get a Sample Collector for a side quest. Leave and go down to Rojo (at the bottom of all the stairs, west of the sign post south of the shop) and talk to him. Leave the town and go west to the Cathedral.

Go north a screen and talk to Rojo to get a Flask and an objective in Rainbow Lake. Talk to Mother Superior to advance a side quest. Now leave and talk to Paulina, who is on the world map south of Neva Tulria. Interact with the altar to get a conversation and a shoe. Back on the world map is a flag, interact with it to find yourself on a ship. Head south and disembark at the flag to find a chest with an Anti-Charm Mirror. Get back on the ship and head north into the river. Land at the flag and then grab the chest with an Amber Ring west of you. Enter the building north of the flag now.

Rainbow Lake

The Watery slimes are weak to Thunder, the Poisonous slimes are weak to Water and the Soldiers are weak to Thunder. Azure slimes absorb all elements so it's basically poison and regular attacks for them.

Save point right at the start. Head west to find a chest with a Cup of Coffee. Return to the save point and go east to find an Antidote in a chest. Go north and interact with the pool on the right for a scene, then continue north for a scene. After it, continue to follow the path, as you proceed you see a chest with a Healing Juice. Interact with the pool just north of it. Continue north and follow the path until it splits south/east leads into water, and go south for a chest with a Sapphire Necklace. It increases Cristopher's MATK by 1 and lowers his MDEF by 10, but he heals 8% of his max HP when he uses a spell, so...basically every turn. Equip it. Now take the east path into the water. There's a little alcove to the south with a chest that has a Silver Ring.

Shortly after getting back on land is a save point. Interact with the pool to the east and then head north. Follow the path to see another chest with a Healing Juice just past the shop guy. Continue following the path until you go down a ramp, and keep going west to find a chest with an Antidote. Head north and interact with the pool. Follow the path for a scene, then approach the flower and interact with it for a scene. As I'm sure you can guess, you cannot win the fight. Attack until she wipes you, then you have some scenes. Once they're over, you are at the entrance, exit south, get on the ship and head back to Paulina. Head inside the temple and approach the altar to rest. JKR721 will join the party, and you get an achievement.

Head to the Cathedral and enter for a fight. You learn how JKR721 plays. I did not use him much at all until later in the game. If you also don't want to use him enter the menu, select party, and swap him out with Wilheim. Either way, go north afterward and talk to Rojo, then interact with the altar. Return to Neva Tulria, we've got some things to do. First head north to the sign post and talk to the couple east of it, Sol first, then Joseph. Talk to Joseph in the past, then Rojizo west of you. We need to return to Rainbow Lake to get a sample...no this quest was not available earlier, sadly. Go north to the shop, grab the Sorcerer's Sandals if you did not previously.

Talk to Dreena to the west to start another side quest. Talk to the shop owner, choose store, and then choose talk to get her ribbon. Go north to the save point and then east. Talk to the two kids to get another ribbon. Enter the building to the east. Interact with the projector to the west and then go into the past and grab it. Return to the present to watch it.

Leave and go south of the sign post to the big structure in the foreground with all the...uh...arms. Check the wall in the back behind it with the shield to get a ring and open the book we picked up in the Museum. You get an achievement.

Grab the final ribbon, Brandon is east of Joseph and Sol. Return to Dreena for a scene and an achievement.

She gives you a keychain, and you get another achievement.

Go back to Rainbow Lake. Go east to the chest, then north and interact with the pool and you are ambushed by a familiar fight. Kill the dude on the right with fire, then kill the other one with fire. Return to Rojizo in Tulira and then talk to Joseph for another achievement.

The last side quest has to be done at a location we can't reach yet. For now, head north to the other sign post, save to the right, and then head into the building north of the sign post. After the scene, talk to Lucio (by the picture in the back). Next head up the left steps and go into the past to talk to Gladys up the stairs, then talk to Lucio again. After the scene, return to the Cathedral outside town. Head west a screen and interact with the fireplace to get Buki's Pearls. Interact with the fallen pillar to the west and decay it to move forward. After the scene, interact with the pillar and decay it to move on to the dungeon.

Salt Mines

Tricoons appear here and should be killed first as always. Azure wolves are weak to water. The salt family of enemies are weird. The Doppels can transform into one of your party members and use their skills, but the weaker versions can't. All versions have no weaknesses and take no damage from physical attacks so it's magic attacks for them. If they transform into a party member, they can be hit with physical attacks though.

Decay the pillar in front of you and move on. You reach a pillar with a chest on it, so restore it. Grab the nearby chest with an Anti-Charm Mirror down a ramp. Continue west and at the fork go up the ramp for a chest with a Healing Jar. Continue following the path to see a chest with an Antidote in the background. Grab it.

Continue following the path until you reach the chest with Steel Wristguards that you lowered earlier. Go down the south path to reach a chest with a Sapphire Ring. Return to the fork and go west to another fork. Go south and follow the path to a chest with a Tulira Signet. Go back to the fork and go west to grab another Buki part. Go west to the next screen. Go west to a pipe leaking salt. Check the purple sparkle for a sample. Interact with the pillar near it and restore it.

Continue to a fork and go east to another one. Go south and then west. Interact with the pillar and decay it to reach the shop, and a chest with a Rainbow Tea. I'd buy a tent if you're low on HP/MP, unless you have one already of course. Go back through the pillar and revert and restore it, then go straight east. Step on the switch here to see in the background a chest with Steel Wristguards. Grab it. Go back to the first fork and go south. Grab the salt in the northeast corner east of the switch for another fight. Now step on the switch nearby. Go back to where the shop was and head west. Grab the Buki part and you are sent back to the entrance. Save and go north for a boss fight.

The fight is nothing special, unless you forget to heal like I did in the video... Anyway on its first turn, it turns ethereal and doesn't take damage from physical attacks, but we spam magic anyway so...big deal. She actually takes more damage because of this. Have Cristopher spam Water Bubble. Something I didn't do in the video is using Evergreen, which is an ability Wilheim learned at level 15, which boosts MATK of the affected ally. Using it on Cristopher increases his Water Bubble damage from a little over 400 to a little over 600. 3 casts of Water Bubble kills the boss. Crisbell should be putting Celeritas on Cristopher. It is not a hard or long fight. You get an achievement after you win.

Talk to Mother Superior afterward. You give her the book in exchange for another Tulira Signet. Not sure if it matters since the side quest is already done, but do it anyway just in case. Return to Neva Tulira. Head north to the second signpost and then east to the university. Talk to Oropen to finish their side quest and get the achievement.

Now go to the mansion straight north of the second signpost. Talk to Lucio inside, then leave the city and go to Wilheim's house, east of Neva Tulira. There are two plants in the northeast corner, interact with the wall between them to get the Will. Return to the world map, save, and enter Neva Tulira. Head to the mansion again for some scenes. Head to the entrance of town for more scenes, and a boss fight.

The boss has someone she drains life from. It is game over if that someone dies, so you have to be quick, though you slaughter the boss so quickly, it doesn't matter. Don't use AOE attacks as those hit the hostage. The enemy can hit either everyone or a single person and uses the typical water bubble look alike that can hit you with status effects. Have Wilheim poison her and then spam explosive if you like, Crisbell buffs Cristopher, and Cristopher spams Water Bubble. The boss only has about 1000 HP, and Cristopher did a little over 200 with each Water Bubble. You get an achievement when you win.

You have a choice afterward. If you did everything right, you have a third option "give funds to both". This unlocks both achievements so you don't have to redo the boss fight to get the other.

Cinder

After the scenes, leave and talk to Paulina. You are told you can't come back for awhile, so do anything you want to do and then choose to leave. Though if you've been following the walkthrough, there shouldn't be anything. You can talk to everyone else for story bits, but when you're ready to go talk to Matias and choose to sleep. After the scenes, leave the temple. So uh...no easy way to say this, someone's about to leave. It'd be better if you removed their gear so you can use it on other people. If you want to know who, check the spoiler. I suppose if you want to avoid a spoiler you can simply remove everyone's gear, then it doesn't matter who leaves.

Save and enter the mountain northwest of you. After the scenes, head up until you see some familiar faces and have a scene. Afterward head west a screen and then approach the house in the background for another. After some scenes you have a choice, choose to regress as you should be able to guess what happens if you progress the bomb instead :^)

After some more scenes, you get a new character, lose one, and gain an achievement.

As you see shortly, Zas' attacks are quite a bit different from everyone else's. We have a mock battle to show them off soon, so i explain them then. DO NOT equip her with stuff yet. I did when I did the W10 version and it messed up the tutorial battle for her. I was still able to progress but no reason to tempt the gods of fate. As for the third member, you can either have JKR or Wilheim. If you want Wilheim (I did), talk to him to swap. Behind the bed Cristopher is in is a chest with a Cup of Coffee. Leave the house and head east to the first screen, then exit south to the world map. Head west to the tower structure and enter Ceniza.

Ceniza

After the scenes, you have a mock battle where you learn how Zas works. Afterward, you can equip Zas. All of Zas' skills are a wheel that spins with every option on it and it is up to you to press cn_A at the proper time to get the attack you want. Her regular attack has no wheel though, it's just random. It's not all bad though, her party heal is very easy to pull off (it's only two options) and she can technically attack with all 4 elements AND they hit everyone on the targeted side, but it's still an annoying mechanic to deal with if you struggle to hit the right element. If an enemy is weak to water and you hit fire and heal them, it feels pretty bad.

Afterward go north to the save point. For the encounters here, I gear Zas exactly like I did Cristopher, focusing on MATK. Basically I just speed her up with Crisbell and had her use the water element magic, which kills all the enemies on the side you target in one hit. Wilheim's MATK boost isn't necessary for the regular fights but makes the boss fight much easier.

Head to a partially destroyed platform in lava to interact with it and decay it to move over it. Note that moving over it without making the platform solid does a ton of damage to you. Head north to see a chest over a platform you can decay. The chest has a Crystalarium Chain. Go east and when you reach a second person, go south and open the gate. Then go back north and continue east to a fork. Go north and decay the pillar and behind it, grab the chest with a Cup of Coffee.

Go through the pillar and revert/restore it. Go south now to another fork (decay the platform). Open the gate to the south, then go back to the fork and go north to another fork. Go west to get a chest with a Silicon Necklace. Go back to the last fork and go north for a chest with an Amber Ring. Head back to the fork by the gate and go east to find a save point. Go east up the pathway to a chest with a Tent. Return to the save point and use a tent and save. Then go north and interact with the two people for a scene and then a boss fight.

This fight is an incredible jump in difficulty, both because of their attacks, and because you can't faceroll it with Cristopher so quickly. They have a ton of AoE attacks that do massive damage, so deflecting/parrying is essential. You want to equip Zas with all your MATK boosting gear if you haven't already (especially the Sorcerer's Sandals), have her use Magic Roulette, and hit the water one to kill one of them as quickly as possible. When one of them dies, the other gets a massive boosts to stats. The one on the right heals itself constantly and, that combined with her much higher defense, makes her annoying, but the other one constantly barrages you with attacks, whereas you get a free round of combat when the other one heals herself.

After doing the fight a few times I think it might be better to kill the one on the left first. Even though the one on the right heals and has higher defense, you can outpace her healing if you buff Zas' speed, and since she heals every other turn, you don't have to spend as much time healing. They both have a bunch of attacks which do immense damage, and most of them hit multiple people, so killing one quickly is very important. Once you have the one on the left down (should only take a 3-4 casts of water), you can focus on the other, who alternates between her attack that hits everyone at once and her heal. Once they're both down, you get an achievement.

Return to Cinder. Go north for a scene, then head east a screen. Approach the structure for a scene. Afterward head to the past and talk to one of the guards. Go back to the present and you see 4 things in a circle around the moon. Interact with the west one once for dawn, the one in the back twice for noon, and the one on the right three times for night. You don't need to mess with the one in the foreground at all. Enter the new building and go up for some scenes. Before you leave, go all the way up to the wall, then stand behind the rightmost sister. In the past to the west, you see a chest with a Cinderian Bracer. Grab it.

Leave and head west two screens. Talk to Azufra (the leader standing where the bomb was). Go east a screen, then down the north path, and talk to the girl here to upgrade your shoeboat. Before leaving we have two things to do: stop by the shop and pick up the Sure-Step Sandals for 28000 marbles, and replace Wilheim with JKR. 28000 is a lot, but its help a lot for the next boss. The next boss has roughly 80 more MDEF than DEF, which means our usual magic spam doesn't work nearly as well. In the video I used magic and it was quite a slog. Equip the Sandals and any ATK/SPD boosting gear on JKR. Leave Cinder now. Go west to the flag and get on your boat, then take it all the way north to the tall tower, disembark, and head inside.

Cinder's Forge

Walk up to the save point, follow the path to a lit star, and interact with it. The 3 other stars light up west of you. Move to the middle one and activate it to reach the chest with a Huge Mana Potion. Then activate the far left star and follow the path up the ramp. You fall down. Go back up and restore the platform. Go south and grab the chest with a Cinderian Bracer. Go back to the fork and go east. Use the elevator to reach floor 2, and you have a fight (always a fight when you use the elevator).

Go south through the path to the right of the ramp, then go east when you can. You fall, go west to the ramp, back up, then restore it, and cross. Head east across the bridge with chains. There's a bunch of platforms that fall here. Basically you see platforms in the shape of a square with a pit in the middle. Each one has two paths going east and one drops you. For the first one, go south. For this one, go east over the south path. For the next one, go east over the north path. You reach a star, but first go east and grab the chest with a Signet of Wealth, which boosts marble gains by 10% when equipped. Since Zas and Crisbell both have nothing to equip in that slot, give it to one of them. Backtrack to the stars across the pink bridge.

Activate the south star and cross for a chest with Dark Steel Wristguards. Put them on JKR to boost his ATK even further. Go back and activate the top star now. Cross the bridge, follow it all the way to a moon symbol, and activate it. Backtrack to the moon symbol right before the ramp back up to the upper platforms and activate it. Cross it, go north, activate the moon, cross it, go up the ramp, hit the heart symbol, and grab the chest with another Signet of Wealth. Now cross the moon bridge and go up the ramp west of you. Get on the elevator and take it to the Laboratory. Rest up if needed (probably for Zas' MP more than anything else) and save. Go south and follow the path for a boss fight.

Basically the boss uses her turn to do a few things. Either she heats up the forge, pulls out a sword, or attacks with a sword. Note that she can have two swords at once, and they swing in quick succession. When the forges heat up to red, she can make a sword. Both she and the forges get a ton of turns, but since they waste so much time making/throwing away swords and heating up, it's not as rough as it seems. Have Zas spam any magic but fire, Crisbell should buff JKR's speed with Celeritas, and JKR should alternate between 3 punches (press cn_A when he glows after each punch) and using the coolant option (press cn_LSu) to get rid of heat. Have Crisbell heal as needed. When she dies you get an achievement.

Head east after the scenes for another scene. Travel to the past, talk to the dude, then Kari. Return to the present for a scene. There's a green bottle on the right table near the back that has a sparkle. Interact with it. South of it is a box on the floor. Interact with it then stand on the south side of it and move into it (going north) to push it under the bottle we knocked over. Travel to the future and interact with the box. You are teleported to the start of the dungeon. Leave and return to Cinder via boat.

Speak to Fira right in front of you, who has a side quest. Go all the way north to Takna and talk to her. Now go south to the shop and talk to her, choose the talk option to get a tent, then check her wares and buy the set of tools (near the bottom). Go back to Fira, talk to her mom just north of her kneeling down for the gear. We got the chain already from a treasure chest. The last piece will have to wait a bit. Go east a screen and enter the building. Talk to the girl on the far right. Now talk to the girl in white by her for a scene, then talk to Matias to the left south of the sisters and choose to rest. You get an achievement during the scenes.

Leave and go west 2 screens. Then west up the ramp, enter the house, and talk to the party member you left behind. Cristopher returns to the party. The only possible reason to keep Zas would be that her magic can hit every enemy on the side you target, but Cristopher learns Pressurized Steams at level 18 (he was 17 when I got him back) which hits all enemies on one side like Zas', and learns the same for all elements aside from earth as he levels up, and that doesn't really matter.

You can swap members out freely in the party menu now. The next boss is another one that seems to be better fought with physical, so I'd kept JKR for now, so I was running with Cristopher and JKR. You are sent to the building with the sisters. Talk to Orola. After the scenes, talk to Orola again to start another side quest. Leave and go west a screen, then go west until you can go north. Then talk to Takna. She wants you to fix the console to your left. Interact with each screen and put the right part in.

Far left console: Gear
Middle console: Console
Far right: Chain

Talk to Takna again. You get an achievement after the scenes.

Go west a screen and talk to Azufra for a bunch of scenes. Afterward, go into the past and talk to the sisters for a side quest. Leave, head west a screen, and interact with the guy by the statue. Go into the future and talk to him. Then talk to him again in the present. Go west a screen and go up to Jaru in the house Cristopher was in. Talk to him and then leave. Go south to the cemetery. Interact with the grave by Fenia, go into the past and grab the doll, then talk to Fenia in the present. Next go into the past and grab the ring from the grave southwest of Fenia. Return to Jaru in his house and talk to him.

Head to Ceniza and follow the path to the save point. Interact with the person here to cure them. Go north to a person and talk to them for Jaru. Then go west and cure the person you meet. Go east past Kimber (the lady for Jaru) to a fork. Go south to reach the big fork with a bunch of ramps in the background. Interact with the two people to the northeast to cure them (talk to both of them). Go north and up the ramp on the west side. Cure the person here. Return to Cinder and return to Jaru in his house. Talk to him and then Kimber, and you get an achievement.

Leave the house, return to the building with the sisters, and talk to them. Head to Cinder's Forge. Go across the bridge, up the ramp, into the elevator, go to the laboratory, and talk to Nasar to finish a quest and get an achievement.

There's no avoiding it now, you need to max someone's weapon as we're close to passing the point where they leave (check the spoiler for who). After you beat the boss of the next dungeon and progress to the next area, you cannot access a shop to upgrade weapons until after this person is gone. So you have to farm up the marbles for the weapon in this next dungeon. You can access shops afterward though, which is why you don't need to upgrade the rest.

Check to make sure their weapon is maxed before you start working through the next dungeon. As you noticed, each time you use the elevator in Cinder's Forge, you get a fight, so take it back and forth to farm marbles if you need money to upgrade the person's weapon. You can also go to the next dungeon, which does not have a consistent way to spawn fights, but is also near town so you can leave and heal up if needed, and the enemies do give a little more marbles.

Either way, when you're done leave and return to Cinder. Check your inventory, if you have 3 Amber Rings you're fine, if not buy one from the shop. You should have at least 2 from chests, and a third from...somewhere I didn't write down apparently. A quest I'd guess. Check your quest log, you should have 3 completed quests, if not go back and do them. Interact with the statue north of the save point in Cinder and enter. JKR acts like you can't leave, but you can.

Rock of Ages

The slimes are weak to water, and the golems and goblins are weak to lightning. Note that Pressurized Steams from Cristopher should be enough to wipe slimes and goblins, even though the latter is not weak to it.

Go east and grab the chest north of you with Light Armored Boots. Follow the path all the way west and then go north for a scene. Go west and then south and open the chest with a Healing Jar. Go north to the machine and go east. You have a scene when you approach another one. Interact with it and use it/ North of you, grab the chest with a Dark Steel Ring, it gives a nice boost to MATK so give it to Cristopher. Go back to the machine and go straight south for a chest with Mega Mana Potion. Now follow the path going east that is north of you. Follow the path to a machine and interact with it for a scene. Save at the save point and head north for an insanely stupid boss fight.

The boss has super high defenses and 2613 HP, so she's basically a bullet sponge. She also doesn't really do a lot of damage so this fight isn't hard, it's just incredibly tedious. The bosses' resistances change randomly, with no visual indication she's done so. She can do three things, summon a soul, attack with the soul, or move to the other side of the fight. The souls are enemies you've fought previously.

When she summons a soul she cleanses herself so poison won't do much, and due to her high defenses neither physical nor magic is very effective. All you can do is slowly chew through her HP with Crisbell/JKR's physical attack and Cristopher hitting whatever weakness she has. If JKR has scan (he might not yet), you can use it so you can check her weaknesses before you have Cristopher cast a spell to avoid healing her. Use Rejuvenation from Crisbell to heal everyone, or have Crisbell and Wilheim heal one person if needed. Even with Evergreen, Cristopher only did ~50 damage with spells and Crisbell did roughly the same with a fully upgraded weapon and the spiked keychain so nothing really works well. Once she's finally dead, you get an achievement.

I've read there are problems in the Windows 10 version for the next choice. You're supposed to make the 3rd choice and get both the A Friendly Hand and Under the Rubble achievements, but in the W10 version it seems some people have to pick "evacuate" instead. Make sure to save before interacting with the altar so that you can try the other choice if needed without redoing the boss again. The 3rd choice worked for me as of 10/31/2021 but no harm in being safe.

Interact with the altar for a bunch of scenes. If you did everything you should have a third option "use the levees and open the valves". Pick it for a bunch of scenes, during which 2 achievements unlock. One unlocks earlier on, and the other one near the end, so don't sweat it when they don't both unlock at once.

Go to the statue and talk to Fenia just south of it. Leave and talk to Paulina. As always, you can talk to people for story bits or talk to Matias to move on. Leave the temple and enter Crystallis just north of you.
