Guide for 7 Days to Die
How to use this walk-through:
Read this page then go to the next one. You will probably be coming back to this page if you can't remember everything.
Beginning tips:
- Find a city area immediately
- Read all books (can find loads in supply drops)
- Put Skill points on The Survivor and The Camel right away
- You can run down animals with the Mini-bike once you get it for Raw Meat, they die in 1 hit!
- Find a mining helmet and use the light by pushing on the d-pad for infinite light
- Always keep water and food on you in case you get hungry or thirsty (look under wellness of this guide and get those as soon as possible to get those achievements asap).
- Always keep a Stone ax on you to get resources quickly because hitting things with your fists will take forever.
- Get a bow and arrows right away
- Make sure to keep food and bottled water on you at all times for when you need to eat/drink to not die! You can have stacks of 50 yucca fruit which can be found by destroying any cactus. These are worth 3-5 fullness each, 1 stack of 50 = 150-250 fullness. Keep the plant fibers too!
- After chopping down trees make sure to keep the seeds! When you get back to your base just plant them all around so you have a unlimited supply of wood, when you chop them down you get 2 trees to re-plant!
- Using Coal and wood build tons of 50 stacks of torches, use LT to attach them to anything, if you want your base/town area lit up just throw them in good spots (be careful though can create lag).
- You can make a really sweet powerful light with 1 headlight, 1 Lead Car Battery and 10 iron! (called Mobile Spotlight in craft area).
- Keep all Large Bones, you can craft these into blades that can get honey off boatfly's and all necessary things needed from animals like meat, pelts, and fat.
- Always keep a stack or 2 of health packs in case you run into a bear or get hurt somehow. Also run from bears.
Duping Glitch
Doing this can save you hours upon hours of time, if you choose to use it you can take shortcuts and you will want to make a Private online worlds otherwise its not possible.
1) With another Xbox or with a friend build a campfire.
2) Put what you want to dupe in campfire output area.
3) Xbox/other friend hit Y on the campfire so you cannot access it anymore.
4) Break campfire and build another in the exact spot you destroyed the last one (your other xbox/friend will still be looking in the old campfire)
5) While your other Xbox/friend is still in the old campfire go into the new one and grab all the stuff in the output area.
6) Repeat step 5 until you are satisfied (Other Xbox/friend must not exit out of the campfire)

Battery (take apart cars with Wrenches)
Tires (Find a Scrapyard or Parking Garage and break tires on the ground to find one)
Minibike Handlebars (craft)
Minibike Seat (craft)
Minibike Chasis (craft in Forge using 20 smelted clay and 200 smelted Iron)
Basket (not needed for the bike to operate but recommend to put stuff in, can be found on the ground randomly in buildings)
Forge: (Is located in basics area under crafting)
You need:
- 50 Small Stone
- 50 Lump of Clay
- Bellows (requires 8 wood, 20 Animal Hide, 1 short pipe buildable under Resources in crafting) and 1 short iron pipe.
To use the forge you will need to put wood in and turn it on, then to make anything you have to smelt material while it is on. 1 item= 5 material so if you smelt a rock you get 5 smelted rock.
Increasing level:
You increase in level by Manually increasing your skills this will level you and give you skill points to use!
Skills you want to manually work on (ie: don't read books):
Athletics - Keep running around, punching helps too but that can burn your energy really fast. If you plan on using energy don't punch!
Weapon Smithing - You will want to craft Wooden Clubs which only cost 5 wood per club.
Construction Tools - Craft Iron or Steel Pickaxe or keep ones you find and find some BIG ROCKS, all you have to do is keep Mining and you will quickly increase in this skill!
Tool Smithing - When you are stocked up on Small Stone, Wood, and plant Fibers you will want to just craft a ton of Stone Ax's. These do take up an inventory space so you will want to keep discarding them.
Scavenging - You will get this just by searching objects, you do not absolutely need to take the items, but if you don't want the items I recommend throwing them on the ground otherwise you won't be able to re-loot that item.
Misc Crafting - Take massive piles of wood and qlue up Wood Spikes, you will increase this skill rather quickly and they stack in enormous piles so they won't take up too much space!
Tailoring - Use your pile of Cloth Fragments and load up on Bandanas in the Crafting area under Clothing. Once your inventory is full cancel the ones stuck trying to build. Now go back and scrap all the bandana's you built and repeat the process.
While leveling up you will unlock these achievements along the way:
Increasing Wellness:
To increase your Wellness you will want to stock up on Painkillers, Vitamins, Bottled Water (Snow + Glass Jar), Raw meat, Yucca Plant's, Glass Jars, Goldenrod Flowers, and Eggs.
Make sure you have the survivor skill up as much as possible. Health nut should be put up when possible too but don't worry too much about that one.
You want to make:
Goldenrod Tea's (campfire)
Charred Meats (campfire)
Bacon and Eggs (campfire)
Yucca Juice (Crafting area of inventory)
Eat all of these when ever you get hungry or thirsty and keep a good supply of them! When you finish all the achievements before killing zombies use the painkillers and drink the Tea's and Juice until you hit 200 Wellness and you will unlock these achievements:
Making Ammo
(The only ammo you absolutely need to make is .44 ammo, don't make any others)
You need the forge to make ammo, then to use the materials you put them into the Smelting area which will make them usable for crafting.
You will need these:
Bullet Casings (brass+Clay) in Forge
Bullet Tips (lead+Clay) in Forge
Gun Powder (Lump of coal + Nitrate powder) in crafting area of inventory
To make the ammo of your choice you must put five points into the Skills area under firearms.
Crafting ammo will be one of the most difficult things to do so you can do it, just don't waste all your time looking for the things needed. Grabbing the ammo out of all the loot dropsin the beginning is a much better method. Once you start killing zombies you can keep loozing their bodes and stock up that way. Also getting the chainsaw or Auger will be a useful tool to kill Zombies if you have a good amount of Gasoline left after getting the 1000Km achievement.
Making armor
This is important! Make sure to make Iron armor, it will keep you alive!
If you are going to kill zombies you should probably have good armor/clothes on so you don't die. You will need to have a forge for this, make a bunch of Forged Iron and Leather. Make Iron Chest Armor, Iron Boots, Iron Gloves, and Iron Leg Armor. Using these you will have the best protection from zombies. You only make the Forged Iron in the Forge, not the armor themselves, those are in the Crafting area of your inventory.
Also make sure to make your best Bandana and wear that for Insulation and protection.
Put Shades on
Find and keep a good Leather Duster
Find and put on any pants
