Florida man hit by train while waiting to watch fireworks display

Pensacola, Florida (AP) -- Police say a Pensacola man died after being struck by a train while waiting for a fireworks display to begin.William Wright and about 40 other people had gathered along the train tracks shortly before nine p-m to watch a fireworks display over Pensacola Bay. Pensacola Police Officer Dana Lisco says the spectators scrambled from the tracks after hearing the train's horn and seeing its lights.She says one bystander tried to help 47-year-old Wright off the tracks, but he fell backward and was struck by the train. Police say the train was traveling west last night at about 40 miles per hour. Two other men were struck by debris from the accident and suffered minor injuries.
