Generally, the Five of Pentacles is pointing to poverty and adversity in your life. You have either suffered a financial loss, or the future is bleak. You are now caught in a web of misfortune. A lack of funds, illness, unemployment, and solitude are what you have endured. Fortunately, there are people out there who can help you. You simply have to let your intuition–your inner light–guide you to the right people.

It shouldn’t be overlooked that outside sources do not create this poverty. Usually, your feelings of loss are generated from within. Therefore, if money is your primary motivator, it might be time to look beyond possessions to the more beautiful things in life. Wealth should be more of a psychological state than the accumulation of cold, hard cash. You don’t have to be alone and spiritually lost. Once you realize that you aren’t alone, you can overcome this obstacle.
