Fill in the Blank: I Knew He Was "The One" When _________.

"When I first started dating my boyfriend, I was really unsure and even scared about being in another relationship again. A couple months in, I knew I really liked him but I was scared of it getting more serious. That's when he told me he was going to Spain for a month to study for school. I thought, good, this will by my sort-of escape.' It will be a time where we grow apart and our relationship probably won't go any further. But the DAY he left it hit me: I really liked him and I was serious about the relationship. I wasn't scared anymore. For a whole month, I didn't do anything but wait for him. I realized how much he meant to me. He was my best friend and I just wanted him home! After a very long month, I picked him from the train station and it was honestly the greatest moment ever and I was so happy to see him and so ready to take the relationship to a whole new level. I knew I loved him. And he looked so cute when he got off the train too, so that contributed."—Kelly, 23

"I knew Mike was The One from our second date. I made him wait at the bar for 2 hours by himself because the couple that introduced us gave us conflicting info. (Good thing it was football season!) After that, he picked me up at my parents' house and met both of them. He said it was no big deal but I was mortified! Besides that, he always opened doors for me, he called instead of texting. After dating for 6 months, he asked me to marry him and we were married 7 months after that. Now we're been married for almost 7 months and I could not be happier!"—Andrea, 31

"I think more than one specific moment, it's the falling in love that is more memorable. All of the little things that led up to the realization. Chad was raised a lot differently than I was and he has a very hard outer shell. Most people don't get to know him and see every side of him. I even thought he was a certain type of guy until I began seeing his soft side. That's the side that wanted to spend every possible second with me, sent me texts every morning telling me how happy he is with me, took care of me when I drank a little too much that one night, etc. I even started to get comments from people saying that he seemed different - happy and sweeter. And then one Sunday we spent the entire day together just lazing around watching football, eating junk food and being silly and at some point he smiled. It was a smile I hadn't seen from him before. It was so genuine and young and beautiful. I remember thinking I loved him then."—Amanda, 25
