Eagles sign 10 players to practice squad – NBC Sports Philadelphia
After cutting the roster down to 52 players on Saturday and adding Stephen Morris on Sunday to fill out the roster, the Eagles signed 10 players to the practice squad.
Among the practice squadders are running back Raheem Mostert and safety Ed Reynolds.
Mostert, the undrafted RB out of Purdue, led the NFL during the preseason with 351 yards from scrimmage and ran for 162 yards against the Jets in the preseason finale Thursday night.
Mostert's agent, Brett Tessler, tweeted he cleared waivers Sunday and would join the Eagles' practice squad.
Reynolds, a 2014 fifth-round pick out of Stanford, was left off the final roster because of the play of Jerome Couplin. Reynolds did, however, show improvement from his rookie campaign.
The safety intercepted two passes in the preseason opener against the Colts and was noticeable on special teams, but head coach Chip Kelly opted to cut him Saturday.
Other notables include undrafted cornerback Randall Evans and tight end Chris Pantale.
Evans was a sixth-round pick in 2015 out of Kansas State, but failed to make the Eagles' roster. The CB had an interception in the Eagles' 39-26 win over the Packers on Aug. 29.
Pantale is the only member of the practice squad who was not with the Eagles during training camp. The Boston College product was previously with the Bears, but was waived in May.
An undrafted free agent in 2013, Pantale appeared in five games with the Jets in 2014, playing mostly on special teams.
