“Didnt change the fact that he f*cked his cat” – Netizens are cancelling YouTuber Shane Dawson and Ryland Adams after they reveal their twins
Shane Dawson is one of the oldest creators on YouTube, with his channel more than a decade and a half old, amassing nearly 20 million subscribers. Shane is also one of the first openly gay creators on the platform. His relationship with his partner, Ryland Adams, a popular vlogger, was made public by the creator long ago.
The two YouTubers finally welcomed their kids on December 7th, 2023. The couple was able to have twin boys named Jet Parker Adams Yaw and Max Chandler Adams Yaw through a surrogate. Shane posted a photo of the couple and the kids with the caption,
“Born 12/7. There are no words to express how it feels to be the fathers of these two beautiful boys. The best day of our entire lives and nothing else will ever compare.”
He also added that he won’t show much of the kids on camera due to privacy concerns. However, due to many fans supporting them and being with them throughout their journey, he felt it necessary to share this milestone with the world. He ends the tweet by saying he is grateful for the kids and thanks all fans for their love and support.
However, his decision to share his news with the world seems to have backfired. Not only are the couple facing a ton of homophobic comments, but Shane has been facing a lot of backlash for his previous paedophilic allegations alongside his sexual encounters with his cat.

Internet users are concerned about the safety of the kids and multiple allegations of paedophilia against Shane Dawson. Shane runs a podcast called ‘Shane and Friends‘. In 2018, an old podcast clip of Shane Dawson resurfaced, in which the creator was seen making inappropriate comments. A 2013 clip of the podcast shows Shane Dawson making remarks about paedophilia, which eventually prompted an apology video from him.
In 2020, Dawson also faced severe criticism after making a video where he made inappropriate gestures towards an 11-year-old kid. The creator took a hiatus after the controversy got out of control. However, he returned to YouTube in 2021 after a break of nearly a year.

Many have also pointed out a 2015 episode of the same podcast. During the episode, Shane recalls a story of himself that comprised inappropriate sexual behaviour with his cat. The couple has not made any statements regarding this situation, as they seem busy with their personal lives and kids.
