Chic Peek Takes San Francisco: Zynga's Dani Dudeck on How to DIY at Home and Score Epic Vintage Finds!
How many times have you checked out another girl's outfit and then mentally "pinned" everything she has on? Guilty as charged! So, instead of standing idly by making mental Pinterest boards, I decided to ask some women I find irresistibly chic to give me a peek into their homes and closets. This week, we hit the road and headed up to the City by the Bay, San Francisco, to visit their arbiters of style.
For the final stop on a whirlwind tour of San Francisco, Miha and I visited Dani Dudeck, vice president of communications for Zynga, the social gaming company responsible for your addiction (ahem!) to Words With Friends, FarmVille, and Zynga Poker. Within moments, we had Dani dishing on where she finds her eclectic mix of home decor. Her tips? She says, "I never really feel done. It's an ongoing treasure hunt, part of my weekend, my traveling. I always try to pick something special which has a great story."
Dani, who was voted one of PRWeek's 40 Under 40 Rising Stars in Public Relations, was full of ideas for an eclectic home. One of our favorites? She buys vintage books, only to tear out her favorite images and frame them like art on her walls. "I love finding little prints and designs—watercolor drawings, story book illustrations, or funky images from books—and placing them next to more classic art or photography. It's a fun way, low-cost way to personalize a wall." Meet Dani, in her living room, flanked by soldiers she found in a book at Goodwill.

She welcomes people into her apartment with: "Yves Saint Laurent slippers, made especially for the boutique gift shop at the Jardin de Majorelle in Morocco (one the chicest, most colorful little gift shops I've ever seen!). They were a souvenir my husband and I picked up during our honeymoon in Africa."
