Cedar Point announces special pass in celebration of 150th anniversary

SANDUSKY, Ohio (WTHR) — Cedar Point is getting is preparing for its 150th anniversary.

And fans of the theme park are getting details on how Cedar Point plans to celebrate.

The 2020 season will feature a new Gold Pass, which is a limited-edition $99 pass that grants unlimited access to the park in 2020 as well as for the remainder of the 2019 season for new pass holders. The pass includes visits during HalloWeekends, free parking and "Golden Entry," which gets passholders access to some of the park's rides 30 minutes before opening. Customers who are already passholders will receive one free Fast Lane Plus and one free Bring-A-Friend ticket both valid Aug. 15 to Oct. 27.

Additionally, the park's Main Midway will feature a "fully-immersive" nighttime celebration with new food options, WKYC reported.
