Bride slammed for excluding childhood friend from wedding party because her 'massive breasts' would have been a distraction

When it comes to weddings, there is a lot of thought and planning put into it and most brides will not settle for anything less than perfect. One bride decided that her day could not be anything but just right, no matter the cost. 

The bride-to-be has shocked people with the reason behind not inviting her best friend to her wedding party and seems to have taken body shaming to a whole new level. After some thought and consideration, the anonymous bride decided against asking one of her closest friends to be a bridesmaid due to the size of her breasts.

She took to Reddit to share her side of the story and asked users whether she was an "a**hole" for excluding her friend from the wedding party. She started out saying that she had been friends with two women- Erin and Kristy since they were all very young but she had grown apart from Erin a little. 

She added that she was closer to her friend Kristy and then revealed the shocking reason behind why she did not ask Erin to be her bridesmaid. The anonymous bride wrote, "[Kristy] told me that Erin's feelings were hurt and then asked me why I didn't include Erin, and I told her the truth."

"Erin has MASSIVE breasts. Literally bigger than should be physiologically possible because she has a hormone disorder that caused her breasts to grow to an excessive degree," she continued. 

The bride went on to add how she had initially wanted Erin to be a bridesmaid but when she thought about the logistics of getting a dress made to fit her friend's body, decided against it as it caused her too much stress. She was also worried that her friend's boobs would upstage her.

"Part of me has a fear that Erin's presence would be a distraction. I've been Erin's friend since we were kids. I've been there through it all, and I have seen how people react to her situation. When people think back on my wedding, I want them to think about how beautiful the venue was, or how nice the wedding party looked, or (dare I say) my fiancé and I finally getting hitched!" she added.

"I don't want people to remember my wedding for the bridesmaid with the giant boobs. I told Kristy these feelings and she more or less told me I was being an a**hole. And honestly I recognize that she might be correct, because I'm being selfish... but then I also think that if ever there's a time I can be a little selfish then it's probably my wedding day," she continued.

The people who read her were most unimpressed by the bride's decision and let her know it. One person agreed that she was being an "asshole". "You specifically didn't include someone in your wedding party for a medical problem they can't control. Trade out the issue at hand with 'needs a wheelchair' or 'has a prosthetic arm' and you'll see the clear issue," they wrote. 

Another added, "The best way to handle the 'one bridesmaid needs a different sort of dress' is to not do matching dresses but instead matching colours." While a third shared, "I would be so hurt if someone I knew from childhood decided not to include me because I was too skinny or because I had different coloured hair or because I had a certain sized breast."

Post reading the responses, the bride updated her post saying that she had "failed to fully comprehend the depth of [her] a**holery" and promised to talk to Erin to apologize and see how to fix the situation.
