BBL 2022-23: Carrara Oval Queensland Stadium Capacity, Records, Weather Conditions, Pitch Report, Boundary Length, T20 Record, Location, Capacity

Carrara became the first field outside of Brisbane to hold a first-class game in 1990-91, when it hosted a match between the state and an England XI (the match renowned for David Gower and John Morris’ Tiger Moth fly-by). It is three miles from the Pacific Ocean and has an outfield the same size as the MCG with floodlights as strong as any other cricket facility.

But there was no denying that it was predominantly a football arena, and that, along with dismal attendance for the England match and two later one-dayers played there, meant that Martin Williamson abandoned the experiment to use it for cricket in 1992.

There are so so many beautiful grounds all around Australia barring the regular ones(Scg, Mcg, Hobart, Perth, Adelaide etc) .. the grounds viz Carrara Oval Queensland, Junction Oval, Coffs Harbour, Docklands Stadium, Sydney Showground, Geelong!
Just beautiful 😍 #BBL11

Pitch Report

The Carrara Oval field is a well-balanced ground. In the early phases of the game, the pacers have a lot of aid here. With the ball rolling around, batters may find it tough to get going at first, but it will get easier to bat on as the game develops. The pitch is a little slower, and spinners may find some turn. As a result, the middle overs may prove to be the most important phase of the game.

Although the Carrara Oval has not held many international games, it has hosted 15 Big Bash League (BBL) games. The chasing teams have won 9 of those 15, thus chasing after winning the toss would be a better option. On the Carrara Oval surface in Queensland, anything around 160 would be a competitive total.

Weather Forecast of Queensland

The weather in Queensland is expected to be overcast on matchday. Though rains are expected later in the evening, there is no danger of rain during the contest. As a result, the weather may not be an issue on Wednesday.
