Author Toni Tone reveals secret ingredient to sweeter relationships

Toni Adenle, a renowned Nigerian Twitter personality and author, has offered valuable relationship advice on Twitter, urging people in romantic partnerships to also cultivate a strong friendship with their partners.

In her tweet, she emphasizes the importance of treating your partner as a friend, engaging in open communication, sharing conversations, having fun, and vibing together. According to her, relationships become even sweeter when the couple enjoys a friendship-like bond in addition to their romantic connection.

Toni clarifies that being friends with your partner doesn’t mean replacing your original friends, but rather, it enhances the relationship by fostering a deeper and more meaningful connection beyond romance alone.

“Relationships are much sweeter when you and your partner are actual FRIENDS. You turn up together, gossip together, talk honestly, have fun, and generally vibe like besties. They shouldn’t replace your original friends but it’s great when your dynamic is more than just romantic.

“And some may argue ‘isn’t this every relationship???’. You’d be surprised… Some guys will hit the club all the time with the boys, but will never roll with their partner. Some women will chitchat for hours with girlfriends but never with their man. Not all couples are friends,” she tweeted.
